I showed up 15 minutes early without complete paperwork. Nurse threatened to cancel my appointment since it wasn't complete. Nurse then told me it was a state law that I had to come back with my 18yr old son which it's not a law and if I couldn't come back, she would cancel the appointment. Dr. was 40 minutes late and when he did come in he was bothered why my son wanted to be seen. We had to basically beg him to do a thorough exam. His MA's are uninformed and rude. His bedside manner is completely unprofessional. If I acted the way he does at my job, I would be fired. How he is not fired is BEYOND me. I did email CEO of CHI and he responded and had the clinic manager follow up with me. She was fine, but stay away from this physician. He does not appreciate your time or your money that you pay him to work for your medical needs. If I could give minus stars I would.
I made a review on here after my first visit and couldn’t understand why such bad reviews and mostly reviews on his nursing staff. NOW I SEE WHY…It took forever to get a call back regarding my lab results and even when I called and left messages inquiring about them, I never even received a call back to indicate if they have them back or not, just ignored. Then my employer requested FMLA paperwork be filled out. I faxed it to them on the 19th, never heard anything back and called several times regarding it and never received a call back. Then on the 26th after several more attempts leaving messages, I got a call back and said they didn’t receive it, even though I have a fax confirmation that they did. I refaxed it…nothing back from them still. I called the 2nd of the next month again complaining and saying that I will have to go to another doctor if I cannot get a response, then I called to make an appointment to just pay and go in to see the doctor to get it filled out but the receptionist said that it was ridiculous which I agree and she emailed them and told them to respond because the paperwork was about to expire. I still did not receive any call back at all to date but they did fax the paperwork back to my employer, but of course it was missing a page so still not going to work. I am not calling them back to try to figure this out, they will just ignore me anyway. I will stand by that I think the doctor is great and I think the other staff, diabetic education and diabetic nutritionist is great. Nursing staff, needs a lot of improvement and from the other reviews, I am not the only one that has left because of the nursing staff. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
I credit Dr. Taylon for saving my life in 2008. I was in adrenal crisis with a pituitary tumor that another doc dismissed my headaches for 6 months as a sinus infection. I moved to Michigan 4 years ago and have not found an Endo that had a clue about my condition. Out of frustration, I called Dr. Taylon's office to ask for help dealing with docs here and not only did they call me back within 24 hours, once they got all the details, they were right on it and Dr. Taylon faxed orders for labs to Michigan and gave me his opinion and what to ask my doc here to consider and when I offered my insurance info, they said No, he's just doing this for you. Now that is a Doctor that cares.
Dr Taylon is awesome but his staff is horribly inefficient. Every time I need my refills renewed I have to suffer for two weeks and make multiple calls to the office and pharmacy to get something actually done every single time in the last 5 years. I'm done with CHI, GOING TO UNMC. Is it that hard to respond to a pharmacy??
I haven't been able to get a response back from the clinical staff twice now. It takes over 5 days and several messages to hear back then they dont even have the correct information when they finally call back. My medicine i was on started to mess with my liver and i couldn't get anyone to call me back to see what i needed to do. It was scary bc i had to just do what i thought was best with no medical direction bc i couldn't get a response.
Was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 11 and as I got older and would start opening up about things I was or wasnt doing right with raking care of my Diabetes, I realized he didn't care. He just went through the motions and sent me on my way. How can one improve their routine or understanding of the desease if the doctor doesnt listen to you or care what you have to say?
Terrible experience, ended up walking out. He doesn't take two minutes to listen to what you have to say, his mind is made up & he has no interest in hearing what you have to say. He was so childish he had to say my normal dr. doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to thyroid information because he's not an endocrinologist. Ridiculous, waste of time.
You will not get a phone call back from the Dr or his nurse regarding lab work. The lack of professionalism in this office is unbelievable. I will not return to see him. One star is pushing it as I feel they should not even get that.
I had a terrible experience with this doctor also. Even though my blood tests were terrible, he said the tests were bogus and my doctor wS wrong, I don’t have Hashimotos even though my thyroid fluctuates all the time.
I like this doctor a lot. He is very thorough. He is a little introverted, but once you get to know him, he is very funny. I'm hoping he does not retire any time soon.
