I had a pleasant experience at Horne Mazda. Chad is an excellent salesman! From the beginning, he provided an inviting and fun atmosphere. He knew the product very well and answered many of my questions. I had an appointment the following week for an appraisal but wasn’t deliberately planning on purchasing a car. But of course Ryan and Chad showed me the CX-5 Carbon edition with the red leather interior and I just couldn’t turn away. The team at Horne is truly committed to giving excellent service and a unique experience. They all worked collaboratively to help me get the car of my dreams and although my situation was a bit tricky, they handled it with grace and professionalism. I also appreciated Anthony and Allen for taking the time to walk me through the last couple of details before finalizing the deal. If you are looking for affordability without having to sacrifice the luxurious look, Mazda is the way to go. Thank you Horne Mazda, I will certainly try to persuade my friends to consider purchasing a car at this dealership! :
I have purchased over 25 cars in my lifetime from dealerships and never have had a better experience than I did my latest purchase at Horne Mazda in Tempe. Dealing with Chad Patterson was a straight forward and no nonsense experience. The dealership is spotlessly clean, and all personnel that I dealt with from the finance department to the service department were cheerful and helpful. My only regret is that I live in Tucson, and I probably won't be servicing at Horne.
Dallan salesman and Shay finance were incredible to work with! During our car buying experience, we visited lots of dealerships and Horne Mazda Tempe was without a doubt the most friendly, transparent, and diligent one we visited. I absolutely love my CX-5! It feels so luxurious and has a ton of cool tech features. I feel safe driving it and it has great getup-and-go. My husband loves it so much he wants one, too, now! I could not be happier with my experience with Dallan, Shay, the dealership or the Mazda company!
I purchased a used Scion XB in January. I was told this Scion had been the Service Managers car. When I signed the purchase paperwork I was told that the vehicles Horne sells can pass emissions, which seemed kind of odd to say. About 6 hours after purchase the check engine and traction lights come on. I text the salesman and sent a picture and he told me to bring in the vehicle to service and it was an easy fix. I dropped it off at Service and when I picked it up I was assured they had fixed the problem. Two hours later the lights were back on. I contacted Service and I took the vehicle back in. Service had my vehicle for four days. When I received the call to pick up the Scion I was told there would be a charge, which I did not agree with and the Service Advisor said he understood. When I picked up the vehicle I was not working with the original Service Advisor, I explained to her that I was not going to pay the amount due. She went to her Manager and they walked around the corner to "talk" to the Sales Manager and came back 2 minutes later and she passed me off to the original Service Advisor. He says to me did you call and talk to someone? Meaning did I call and talk to my Salesman or Sales Manager about not paying the service bill. No I had not, so he directed me to Sales I spoke to the Salesman and of course he had to talk to his Manager and after 10 minutes I was handed the keys and no charges. The next day the service engine and traction lights were back on. If this vehicle was the Service Manager’s vehicle did he pass off this mess of a car to the company he works for? I understand businesses have different entities and cost centers, but the service and sales departments are all under the Horne umbrella. Why would you make a customer go through the process of trying to make me pay rather than clearing it with Sales before I got there? Maybe Horne does well and you don’t need return or referred customers. Either way the lights continue to come on, I will not be a returning customer nor will I refer anyone here. And the vehicle I purchased cannot pass emissions because the check engine soon light is on.
Not good customer service. They also didn’t know their own rules and regulations. I went through the whole process, paid for the down to lease, and bought insurance. Then, they said we could not make this deal with you due to our bank guidelines. I regretted buying a car from them. Even if I want a Mazda still, I’d go to another dealership.
I’d give them 0 stars if I could. Been in contact with them 3 times about the registration/plate for a car I purchased on 12/16. It is now 3/6. They have assured me each time that nothing was wrong with my information and that everything that’s wrong is on the DMVs end. They also sent all my financial paperwork in incorrectly so I was unable to pay my first car payment until I went into the bank in person and sorted out all the details myself. They also blamed this on the bank, of course. Who is the common factor here? Basically, every convenience that comes with buying a car from a dealership I was failed on. Don’t buy from here unless you want to deal with 0 accountability and a whole lot of negligence. Not even an “I’m sorry that happened” just repeatedly saying “we have no control, it’s ‘x’ that messed it up.” Well, it’s clear they have no control that much isn’t a lie. Embarrassing.
This was my first visit to Horne Mazda. My salesman Tory was very knowledgeable, patient and personable. All the staff that I met throughout the transaction were respectful and friendly. Negotiating my trade was reasonable and unpressured. = New Mazda in my garage.
I just got a CX-50 and I absolutely love it, but what I loved even more was how amazing and smooth the experience was! All the staff were great! Chad was incredible! He was friendly, helpful, personable, and VERY knowledgeable about Mazdas, which made my decision to get another Mazda an easy one! I HIGHLY recommend Mazda and DEFINITELY would suggest working with Chad!
Overall - a pleasant experience - prepare better for negotiation. They showed me the car and let me test drive it. Sales person was patient with all my questions. I am satisfied with my purchase. I believe I was outplayed at negotiation though, I wanted to compare prices of two cars but they insisted me to tell the car I am more interested in and they didn't budge on the price once they knew what I was interested in.
I bought a 2024 Mazda CX-5 last week and love it! Had a great experience at Horne Mazda and with my sales person, Terry Zeller. He was quite knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and even some I didn't know I had. I highly recommend Terry and the dealership as a whole.
