I attended my appointment last week. The first thing my student-dentist said upon my arrival was "You have a payment due." I agreed to pay it at the cashier's window before my service that day began. I took the opportunity while at the cashier's window to mention my insurance company's decision to decline my prior submission for reimbursement of earlier service. According to my insurer, Temple had not provided me with sufficient documentation which was acceptable for reimbursement. The cashier told my student-dentist that we would have to go to the office of Ms Terry Savage to get clarification on the documentation I had been provided with. I spent an extended period of time sitting with Ms Terry Savage. Long enough to have to postpone my dental service for that day. It was well worth it to me. Ms Savage determined that the initial insurance information which had been entered in for me was incorrect. By the time she finished ironing everything out, not only did I not own anything, I ended up with a credit balance. Ms Savage may consider this as simply doing her job. As far as I am concerned, she exceeded it.
Worst dental surgery of my life! 0 stars! And saying 0 is too much. I paid to have all four wisdom teeth removed , but when I arrived they said only 2 could be taken out. After they got the first one out, they started working on my top right wisdom tooth and were making me sweat , pulling as hard as they can. I had to hold onto the chair and grab the nurse’s shirt cause I didn’t know what else to hold onto anymore. Now the tooth is very loose , Very painful and I feel they injured my neck and left my mouth with open cuts. They only gave me novocaine making me unable to speak and didn’t help at all with the pain. They prescribed a small bottle of ibuprofen 800 mg, which I finished in four days. It’s been two weeks and I still have so much pain in my eyes, nose and mouth. They still want to charge me for another 3D x ray to see why they couldn’t get it out! An additional $250 out of my own pocket! After they were done I couldn’t breath and they had to give me oxygen because all I could see was black. I really thought they were going to kill me! Do not go here for any reason!
The WORST experience I've ever had anywhere for anything! Zero stars would be a much closer review, dentures took 8 months to complete and the final dentures were mis-sized, mis-aligned and gaps between the dentures and my existing teeth are very noticeable. A HORRIBLE experience from beginning to end. I just left with the dentures out of complete frustration...as the saying goes you get what you pay for and that's what I got and actually free would've been too much! The student dentist was very friendly and I don't blame her for my experience. I blame the school for a horrible system that doesn't produce a good service.
Don’t bother with this place, they will play with your dental health and then tell you that you get what you pay for. If you’re low income on disability they won’t try to help you. I’ve been approved for a couple of procedures by my insurance that the insurance would cover but it’s gone to waste because periodontal department never got back to me in time and when they did wouldn’t even direct me to speak to someone that can help me with a payment agreement. The dental school is as bad as Temple Hospital, it’s no longer about the patients, it’s about money to them. Horrible place.
I was told that I got a root canal done, A month later I’m still feeling the same exact pain I went in for when they said “ you won’t feel anymore pain. The root canal is done “ here I am 4:30 am in pain feeling horrible.
My dentist Tatyiana is great! So caring of my comfort and does a great and thorough job. So far got a couple cavities done and a filling and very happy with my experience. Best I’ve been treated by a dentist in a very long time and I trust her. The billing department is hard to get ahold of but other than that I recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable care
Recently had a hole drilled into the middle of my crown to cleanseinfected by a head dentist. Crown was placed about 15 years ago. Was given about 6-9 needles. On the gum line & in the root. Very uncomfortable. Dentist was more interested in clocking out than at the very least apologizing, & explaining to me the discomfort. Walked away when I couldn’t bare anymore needles. And had student dentist give me a temp filling with a form of pain med placed in where they drilled. Was told temp filling would last 4-6 weeks? Now on week 2 & haven’t heard a word back. They unfortunately also left me dependent on local ER doctors who have been very patient with me for pain meds. Just overall a very uncomfortable experience Especially compared to my previous dentistry at Columbia U. Hoping to hear back soon since none of my local Dentists have availablity until months out...
The procedures are slow. I still have pain in a crown that was recently done. They told me I was going to pay one thing and it turned out to be another. The billing department is not helpful. If you have full insurance like I do , you are better off going to an in network dentist. It will take up to several months to get back credit on the account.
Complete rip-off. Save yourself the waste of time and money and go to a regular dentist. Writing this review on 9/17/21. As of current, they’ve raised the prices beyond what a regular dental office would charge. I brought my mom in for some dental work and decided to get myself a general cleaning and to have one of my molars pulled since I had to wait around anyway. I’ve perfectly great teeth and keep a decent oral hygiene. I was in no pain and got charge $95 first day for X-rays all they did. Okay no problem. Second visit they kept me there for 3+ hours doing unnecessary things. The students were nice but all they did was learn how to count teeth in my mouth for the 3 hours. No other work was done. I was told repeatedly I had great teeth and gums. Hilarious as at the end of that visit I was quoted $2968.000 for absolutely ridiculous unnecessary work that “I supposedly needed “. I wish I could post a detailed pic of my mouth so you be the judge. The student I was assigned was embarrassed and kept apologizing for the pricing. I assured her it wasn’t her fault but definitely would be going to my regular dentist to get what I needed done. How the hell you expect for your students to practice and learn in our mouths and charge such absurd prices? I was told I owe $245 that day for the 3+ hours of nothing. Overall I payed $350+ And ended up not getting nothing in return for it. Absolutely flabbergasted. Oh and don’t forget you have to wait months for an appointment or someone to call you back for one.
Good place, the students soon to be drs, are good ,mine is Jenifer and she is so nice and kind ,since my first appointment she explained everything to me
