Ten Thousand Villages

I love shopping here! If you are looking for a unique gift to someone or for yourself you have to stop here. And the fact that our purchases help someone on another side of the world that we don't see makes me feel amazing, and considering that I was once a child of poverty I know that I'm reaching back to help someone else along the way. Unique items and the volunteers are so helpful and sweet.

I love the jewelry section, and always find unique items for gifting or for my apartment. Not to mention it is a non-profit so you know your money is going to a good cause!

Nice selection of jewelry, apparel, and interesting items for sale. The concept of fair trade empowering the producers of all items sold at least makes purchases seem productive. Additionally the sales people are always friendly and tolerant of children.

So friendly - so helpful - great gifts This store does not at all deserve the one star rating below. The 4 or 5 times I have come here to pick out some jewelry as a stocking stuffer or secondary gift for my girlfriend the volunteer staff has been awesome to me. One nice lady helped me for 15 minutes, picking out necklaces and earrings and showing them to me until we found the right one for my girl. This is a really cool store, especially for getting fairly priced, interesting jewelry.

Really cool store that supports so many artisans across the world. My only suggestion is that the volunteer-store-workers don't all attempt to engage customers, it's a little overwhelming.
