I loved attending TCAT Nashville. I was enrolled in the PN program. After I completed the program, I took my NCLEX and passed it on my first attempt. I am currently a lpn, thanks to TCAT.

I have a little more insight in the IT world now. The school is understaffed and underfunded to uphold its network integrity well. It needs to be redone which would take months of work. The teacher for the advanced CIT class does what he can, basically offering to take students who have studied enough to understand the material out to do work with him.
Both CIT instructors have a number of certifications, but the tools they have to teach with are limited. I hear the shelbyville campus has virtual machines and it would be nice to see these implemented in this school as well, to the end that the students would be able to fix program installs, create static IP addresses, configure hostnames, attach printers, work remotely on systems.

Worst school I have ever attended. Mr. Lenz pretends to value students, pretends to listen to problems, promises fixes, then does nothing. I can make a list of major reasons not to go to this school. They lost my paperwork multiple times, they have countless problems with clinical sites and requirements for the sites. They try to belittle you to your face when you ask a question. There are no student resources. They tried to make a fake library and computer lab before accreditation arrived. The teachers make up stuff and say its correct when they have no basis or facts. Isnt the point of school to learn? What are you learning if you are being taught incorrect information. Waste of time and money.

Attended this school for their CADD Program. Got a fantastic internship as I was finishing the program. Incredible opportunity for students who apply themselves.

I attend the CIT day program currently. While I have successfully obtained 2 certifications that will land me a job in the IT industry, my success is no thanks to the facility. We study using TestOut, which is online learning I could do at home. My instructor doesn't receive resources he requests, all of which are vital to creating a hands-on learning environment. The school needs SERIOUS renovation. Nashville State looks fantastic, and TCAT is over there looking run-down. Missing/stained ceiling tiles, aged concrete flooring in building 1, and mismatched paint; that's just the beginning. My class arrived to a room that wasn't ready for us, at all. We had tables and chairs, no computers, no network. Everything in the classroom wasn't set up for probably a month into the first trimester. If I weren't here on financial aid, I'd have left then. There's very little actual teaching in our program. It would be far better to attend Nashville State, or any community college.
