They are the GOTO hospital for anything to do with Children. Only thing is be prepared to stay ALL day or night when you go. They are very busy but do an excellent job of taking care of the kiddos! I will definitely go back if needed and I will refer people. The atmosphere there was awesome. The friendly staff kept coming around asking if we were ok. My daughter asked for a water and they gave her a goodie bag. They also offered sandwiches.
Worst experience I have ever had in urgent care. Went in my daughter had a fever going on for 4 days along with other symptoms. Vitals were check fever was 102 no Tylenol was given. After vitals were taken we were sent back to the waiting room for about 30 minutes while the nurse that took her vitals had stated that she will be giving her Tylenol while we wait. To make story short I had to keep remind them that my daughter needed Tylenol for her fever. No medication was prescribed to her and test came back negative for flu, step and COVID, yet she had these symptoms sore throat, fever, body aches, runny nose, lost of appetite, and green eye boogers and then not to have a diagnose or have an explanation what is causing this to her. Don't waste your 3-4 hours here knowing they are not going to do anything to your own child.
My 3 year old son had a 104.3F fever 09/28/2022. I had called their on-call helpline and they urged me to bring him to the main campus asap within 1hr as a result of his high fever. When I got there, the wait time was over 7 hours. 7 hours is not urgent care. Ridiculous. I can empathize with some sort of a backlog, but 7 hrs… I felt sorry for all the sick kids and parents waiting. If I could give it 0 starts, I would. I just got an after summary notice sent to the MyChart app, I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged the visit despite them not seeing him.
Took my son here in December for abdominal pain and vomiting. Check in was fast there wasn't anybody in the waiting area and he was seen pretty quick. They told me it might be a virus and I insisted he got a x-ray or something because of his past medical history. They did the x-ray and said nothing was wrong. Was discharged and next day I took him to the ER he had to get emergency surgery for a Bowel Obstruction. I don't know how you miss this.
My child was in pain for hours..I asked several times about the wait. She was sent home from school with abdominal Pains and I was told if pain gets worse plus back pains to take her immediately To ER. I had to raise my voice and act out of character and then we were seen and still waited hours after that. The different areas do not communicate with each other..It was Ridiculous. My baby asked me was she going to die there in the waiting area.
Dr. Modi was wonderful with my daughter who came in for breathing difficulties. He sat at her level and engaged her directly with various questions to determine what was going on. We left with a cause and next steps and my daughter felt more calm and secure with that knowledge, as did I.
Not sure why this review is under my husbands name but I guess. I’m from San Antonio and we’re in town for a tattoo expo. Our son wasn’t feeling well so I found the nearest urgent care facility. First off, valet is great for folks like me who have no idea where to go/where they are. I entered the ER, went to sign our son in and was then asked if I wanted to stay in the ER or go to the urgent care center. Well, I did check with my insurance for an urgent care so that is what I was expecting. As we all know, these visits can be long. I asked which was quicker and was told urgent care. I went there instead and I have to admit, it was definitely the best service I received from an urgent care facility in a long time!!! As I was leaving, the couple that arrived before me, was still in the ER waiting. Mom asked if my son had been seen and of course I told her yes. I let her know that I was asked which service I wanted and then she decided to go and ask about going to urgent care. I don’t know how they determine who to refer to the urgent care part but I felt horrible for her little man. I don’t know anything about her either but it made me wonder. Was it because I have insurance? Was it based on appearance? The symptoms of my son? Curiosity sure got the best of me. It would be great if all our babies could be seen that quickly. At the end of it all, I am thankful for the prompt attention we received and the professionalism of the staff. Thank you for making a stranger feel at home.
WORSE Place To go to! Waitted over 10 hours in the er with my daughther with a high fever just to end up with the dr to say to keep giving her tylenol & motrin! Worse experience ever with the staff they dont care about patients at all!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE!!!!!!!!
I went here when i was around the age of 6 or 5 probably. My experience was great and probably because the only thing I had to do was take an x-ray. Other than that, the doctors and nurse were very nice., and they even let my mom come in with me for the x- ray because I've always had extreme anxiety for anything like dentist and that. Hopefully this is the right hospital I went to, and if it it is I give thanks to the doctors and the nurse who helped me. <3
