San Sushi Too offers a complete selection of Sushi prepared in the three traditional styles: Maki, Nigiri, and Sashimi.
San Sushi Too located in Towson, MD, and has a young and vibrant atmosphere reflecting the professionals and university in the area. Since opening in 1993, San Sushi Too has grown and expanded three times.
It now incorporates a Thai Restaurant, Thai One On. The two restaurants share dinning rooms, the Sushi Bar, and the Buddha Lounge.
The "B Lounge" as it is known has a comfortable seating area, cocktail bar, and dance floor where you can relax while waiting for your table, or hang out with friends after dinner. Over the weekend they have music and dancing after the dinning areas close. The Sushi Bar has seating for 14 where you can watch the three Sushi Chefs create their magic.
San Sushi Too offers a complete selection of Sushi prepared in the three traditional styles: Maki, Nargi, and Sashimi. The Maki style is the roll style as in the good old California Roll. Maki can be any combination of assorted vegetables, seafood and rice rolled on seaweed paper.
Nagari is formed rice blocks with slices of seafood on top. Depending on the specific seafood, it will be cooked, pickled or raw.
There is even a cooked egg and a raw egg, TMI. Lastly, the Sushimi style is raw seafood slices over a bed of rice or vegetable. So there are an infinite number of combinations possible and this is where San Sushi Too shines. They make up all their sauces from fresh ingredients. And if they don't have it listed they will be glad to make for you. The Sushi Board features 18 House Sushi Specials besides what is listed on the menu, so you have to come check out San Sushi Too.
Thai One On features green and red curries. Thai food is rich in flavor and typically is accompanied with rice. Other ingredients include coconut milk and lemon grass, which with the curry sauces give it its exotic flavors. The Green Curry is the hotter of the two, and is made from garlic, basil and dried peppers but speak to your waiter if you are concerned and they can make it a bit milder upon request.
The Red Curry is a bit milder made with curry paste and a fresh pepper sauce. Most dishes can be prepared with Shrimp, Beef or Chicken. You can enjoy your meal because Thai food is inherently low in fat and calories. And for the vegetarian in us all, there are plenty of great dishes, try it for a change.
The Menu is a compilation of the Sushi, Japanese and Thai offerings. You can order from all three sections, and mix and match to your senses delight. The Japanese portion of the menu features a full array of Appetizers including Soups, Salads, Tempura, and Grilled Appetizers. The Japanese Entrees include: Teriyaki, Sukiyaki, Nabe, and Soba Dishes. There is a lot to explore and just double click on the menu button to see the full menu.
The key to San Sushi Too and Thai One On success is their homemade sauces and the fresh ingredients. They are one of the treasures of Towson, and you have to experience it for yourself. Have a great meal.
