Needs to step up their game. I have not researched, but my guess is very low on the major city theatre halls Totem Poles. No food, no water, no place to sit, one of the doors thoroughly scratches so bad when it’s open, it hurts your teeth, ears and eyes. Inside is good, but before that, a cheap hotel conference room is no different. Parking is easy if you dodge the huge potholes. Vagrants can be intimidating to single women. It can be 80 times better. That is what is so sad about downtown Jackson.
So, the reason Joe Bonamassa had to move to coliseum is T.M. Hall is condemned! No AC, no water etc. What a disgrace to Jackson! Get on the ball Jackson and step it up !
Has been years since I have been But I remember some outstanding performance
Not a bad seat in the place. Sound system could use some tweaking, sometimes couldn't quite make out what was being said. The bars definitely need more staffing, it took over 30 minutes to get a drink. Also, interesting experience upstairs as women used the men's restroom because the wait at the women's was so long.
Great place to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Paid parking is across the street in a garage. If you get there early enough you can park in the street. I suggest near the police station. The show we saw was organized well and the entry/exit was reasonable. The actual facilities seemed a little dated but quite functional.
The sound system was magnificent. And the seating as very comfortable. The lighting system was glorious. The performances were very effective in touching my positive emotions. My kind of music, MOTOWN..
I recently went to see The Nutcracker performed by Ballet Mississippi. I enjoyed the show and would like to see more shows here, however the “required mask mandate” for the auditorium was not enforced and that is not okay. I informed one of the attendants of my concern and she said that she would notify her boss but nobody came nor enforced the rules. Please do better about this because I paid my money based on the required mask mandate but was sadly disappointed in anyone upholding the rules.
Great musical performances, and is operated well and efficiently. The parking isn't even that bad, it's just across the street so you don't have to worry about walking far. 10/10 in my experience.
As I grew up in the Jackson metro area it was a given that every year we would take a school field trip to see a play at Thalia Mara. Those are some of my most favorite memories from growing up. And now that I'm older - I've been able to take my children to see plays as well. Just to make it better...now I've seen my favorite band play here twice! The acoustics are amazing and there is absolutely not one single bad seat in the house. My most favorite Jackson venue and attraction!!!
