ALAC: Investing in a Legacy for our Community of Latino Arts & Culture in the "Heart of Downtown Phoenix."

Story

ALAC is a cultural center that promotes and preserves Latino~Mexican~Xicano~Indigenous Arts & Cultures. Featuring a main gallery, "La Galeria 147" and two smaller galleries, "El Rincon" and "La Campilla" plus a small performing stage, "Teatro Galeria."

~1st Friday Programs @ALAC; ARTE.Sabados for Children Classes. FREE & OPEN to the Public every month of the year, 6-9:00 PM.

~La Tiendita Gift Shop: Featuring original art by local artists and artisans; some imports from Mexico and includes handmade by local artists.

~ALAC Services:
1. Art Galeria & Space: Available for Rental of events, meetings, theater.
2. Master Framer: Jose Andres Giron: Creates new frames and Repair work.
3. Catering by Titina Pacheco

This place is Dope! Went in today and 2 of the artist were actually in the store and were able to share with us a little about themselves and their paintings which we purchased. They even have art shows with local artists as well as artists from other Latin countries. Thank you Pierston & Cora
They could gave done a better set up of seating, bar, and runway.
Beautiful artwork and convenient parking. Forewarning for out of towners: you'll need to download an app Parkmobile to pay for parking on the streets of downtown.
Awesome gallery with a beautiful gift shop! I enjoy the events they hold for local artists from Hispanic and Native community to showcase their work.

A cultural and arts center where artists can share their stories, their art and crafts. The center has had some challenges. However, times have changed. Open door. If you're in downtown area take a visit to center.
Beautiful artistry. We follow Pierston Doctor and love his special kind of art. Very different angles and motion in his unusual yet classic nature of his work. We find any excuse to go and buy his work.!!
This store has beautiful items. I went there at 11:14 AM posted hours are 11AM - 6PM and it was closed. I waited for a few minutes as I was on my lunch hour but no one ever showed up. It's really disappointing as they do have beautiful artwork.
