The Bait Shack

Jake at the bait shack was very helpful with showing us the prices for rental rods including fishing license, bait & best times to fish for the king salmon according to high tides. Very honest & shared his secrets about how to catch.

Jake was the best guide and fishing partner we could’ve asked for! He was very, very knowledgeable and so much fun! It was because of the Bait Shack that we will treasure the amazing experience we had those 2 days! Thank you all so much

Cannot say how much fun we had today on the river! Taking back to Colorado almost 6.5lbs of silver salmon!! Thank you Jake for educating us on salmon and fishing!!! We will for sure be back next summer to fish with you and Justin!

Great place to catch a salmon even when you don't have a ton of time in Anchorage. Swing by the Shack, rent all the gear you need, bait, and even a guide if you like. Next thing you know, Fish On!

Totally worth the experience. Want there by myseld not knowing how to fish and caught a Salmon. They were even nice enough to gut it and pack it for me... ended up eating it for dinner the same night. The owner is an AMAZING GUY!!
