The food was amazing. Everyone was really friendly and was very kind to answer any questions we had about the menu. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something new and I'll definitely go back to try something new! Vegetarian options: A very small selection, but it's there.
So nice hearing German music while eating our meal. The sausages were good but the chicken paprika wrong spelling was not what I expected. I have tasted better at other locations. The music and the service made our evening more pleasant.
This is an authentic, Bavarian German restaurant with lots of great options. I rated the food with four stars because I have had better, but it's still excellent. We loved the "dinner for two" option, which gave us a sampling of several items on the menu for a good price, and all of the dishes were good. The biggest surprise was the live entertainment, a live musician who comes on the third Saturday of every month. We lucked out by being there on his performance night. He plays polka music on the accordion and piano and sings. The guests were dancing and having a great time, and they were able to make requests. We loved it.
They have all the right things, but poor execution. They have the right biers on tap with the right glassware something really important to Germans. Decor looks like a German bier hall in America. Food options are all on-point. It seems like it will be good. But... Service was slow and imprecise. Food was mid, at best. Our checks were messed up in various ways often in our favor. It has no German place vibe. It feels like the local hang-out where locals go to drink. Music was jumping between early 90s R&B and tiktok hits. If the service had been faster and more accurate accurate food and accurate billing, they would have made more for us. We just didn't have the chance to order more and everything took do darn long. Also, there were a few people at the bar, but we were one of the only tables. I might go back, just to have German bier on tap, but with different expectations about food and feel.
What a complete disappointment. Reunited with buddies that were stationed in Germany. We wanted good food and German beer. Service was abysmal. One person was covering the bar and waiting all tables. We were there for an hour before our food order was even taken and that was after we went to the bar and asked him to come take our orders! The jagerschnitzel was shoe leather. The potato salad was nothing to get excited about. The backed potatoes were standard. The green beans were good though. The worst thing though was the smell around the wash rooms. This may explain the lack of women in the place. The two that were wish us wanted to vomit when they got back. The odor is bad and is stale - it’s nothing that just happened. It’s been there. If Germany smelled like this, we would’ve let Russia take all of it! All in all we were disappointed and won’t be back. A stop for schnitzel and a beer took 3.5 hours. I would NoT recommend this stop for anyone.
Very cool spot. Great decor/atmosphere, and the waitress was very attentive. Some of the food was really good. But the schnitzel was dry and tough, so that was disappointing.Food: 3/5
A lovely gastropub serving the local community. We were there for dinner and had the “dinner for 2” which is a combination of their top three best-sellers. Pork chop, schnitzel and two sausages. The pork chop was alright, nothing spectacular. The sausages were decent, albeit salty. But the schnitzel was just really bad. It tasted like leftovers from two days ago that had been poorly reheated and served. It was tasteless, texture was bad, and “damp”. The saving grace however came in the form of the three mustard sauces that were absolutely delightful. Despite all that, I might be back again if the food improves. Great friendly service overall.
Went in a little later, sat at the bar. Had an appetizer of what they call piggie mac and cheese. Basically a deep fried ball of mac and cheese with bacon and a mustard dip. It was pretty good. They had about 8 German beers on tap. Very extensive selection of whiskey. I loved the atmosphere. Felt very much like everyone knew everyone, and even though I didn't know anyone, the service was great and friendly. I would hang out here if I lived in the area.
Excellent food! Solid German fare, and I say that as someone who was stationed in Germany for years. Service was great, too. Brought the check early but stressed that the was no rush to leave; very convenient and I appreciated not having to wait around afterwards for the bill.Food: 5/5
Food was nothing close to German food. Sauerbraten was a tough piece of eye of round and very chewy. Don’t know exactly what the big round balls were maybe bread balled up and gravy poured over it. The potato pancakes were like from frozen potatoes you buy at the store in the freezer section and toasted in a toaster. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
