Mgr is friendly, caring, efficient. Love the personal atmosphere of this smaller community. Many thanks to Carrie! And Tyler for fixing my disposal immediately, and all the caring residents who looked for my kitty and helped me get through that week!
It was a much better place to live under the previous ownership. The only reason my review isn’t one star is that Jim and Tyler continue to offer stellar maintenance services.
I've been here about 7 years and am so pleased with my choice! It's a great location with groceries downstairs. My pantry! And it's walking distance to the library, several coffee shops and restaurants, Trader Joe's, Hollywood Theater, and more. My unit is attractive with big windows and so much light. It is well designed with a fair amount of storage space. Plus, having storage units right here in the building is also convenient. I have found management efficient, congenial and helpful. Maintenence issues, such as an earring down the drain, or problem with a disposal were attended to quickly and effienctly. On site parking with no waiting period is a big plus. I now have an on site electric car that I can charge on site. The common areas are kept clean and fresh.
The Beverly is an amazing place to live. Excellent manager and staff who look out for us residents, always seeking ways to improve services. We perch on top of Whole Foods with a lovely courtyard and beautiful greenery convenient to everything in the Hollywood district and only a few steps away from Whole Foods. Well laid out apartments with thick walls that keep out noise. Now how great is that?
The Beverly has some of the best staff I have encountered in property management. Thank you Carrie for your help!
Jim is always friendly, and fixes whatever i need in this apartment!
My husband and I just recently moved out of the Beverly after living there for about 3 years and it’s the best place we ever lived. The staff is really kind and helpful, the residents are friendly, and the neighborhood provides a ton of walkable conveniences. We lived in 2 different units during our residency and can say the walls are pretty much sound proof. The gym was well maintained, and the fire pit and grill in the courtyard were nice to utilize in the summer. Freeway access and public transportation are both within a few blocks. I would recommend The Beverly for anyone looking for a rental in Hollywood.
Have lived in my unit with an amazing west view of the city and Fremont Bridge for over 10 years now. The Beverly was originally built as condos and with the economic crash of 2008 they pivoted to apartments after completion. The finishes and amenities are like living in a condo, yet include full time maintenance and friendly on site management. Owned a home for 35 years and never planned to stay this long, but there are so many pluses to The Beverly- location, walk ability, lock and leave to travel, MAX to PDX and downtown events, secure parking, storage units, the friendly respectful neighbors, and the secret common courtyard with raised garden beds, umbrella tables and a water feature. Carrie, the Property Manager, is super friendly and conscientious, she truly cares about the tenants needs! There are 2 yes two maintence guys, Ryan and Jim, who take great pride in the upkeep of the building and swiftly make repairs. They even change lightbulbs! I am a fan of The Beverly and my friends who visit marvel at the rooftop setting and well maintained building. It is a pleasure to live here.
The Beverly is the best building I've ever lived in, largely because of its unique features. Living above Whole Foods is incredibly convenient. The courtyard is really nice and serene to cross through every day. The property feels safer than most because it's so hidden - delivery people often said, "I didn't know there were apartments up here." They're one of the rare buildings that doesn't practice breed discrimination, and we had lots of great dog neighbors. The soundproofing is pretty good. I never heard a thing through the walls, and the ceiling was silent too until a stompy guy moved in upstairs. Even then it was fine. Residents are older on average than other buildings I've lived in, which contributes to a peaceful and respectful vibe. An unexpected perk was that the management was my favorite of any building, and turned out to be one of the best parts of living there. They're incredibly helpful, engaged, and fair, and they effectively build a sense of community with entertaining newsletters and events. There's a lot of thoughtful touches that make the place feel homey, and a refreshing contrast if you've ever lived at a building that was obsessed with nickel and diming the residents. Cons: Refrigerator is kinda small, so it's good that grocery runs are easy. Electric stove. Overall, there's not another building like this.
I have lived here with my Wife for the past 2 1/2 years. The building the staff is wonderful. The area is great very easy to live here. Close to max 5/10 min walk. Having whole foods below you is a plus. The bike storage room and gym are super nice. We lived in a studio for that whole time and our two small dogs. For being a studio the apartment layout makes the space feel larger than it seems. We have had guest stay with us with no problem.
