Mission

The mission of The Boston Cecilia ("Cecilia") is to perform a broad repertoire of music, primarily choral, with stylistic integrity and the highest standard of excellence, and to make our concerts accessible to the community in the context of a coordinated program for growth.


Cecilia strives not only to present performances of the highest artistic standards, but also to serve important educational and outreach functions:

-Expose people to classical music, primarily choral, who may not have had the opportunity to attend such performances;
-Provide opportunities for performance to individuals throughout the community;
-Collaborate with other performing organizations and community service organizations to advance their shared goals and to reach new audiences and communities;
-Make its performances accessible to those with disabilities and those unable to afford tickets.
