The Louisville hot brown was great! The fried green tomatoes and calamari were excellent starters but that hot brown. Delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs were amazing also. Great food and experience for my first time there. When I’m back in the area, I definitely need to go back.
This place is awesome!!! My sister's and I came here for brunch. Food was amazing, and our hibiscus drink called morning glory was on point!!! Yes they add alcohol! Our server Carrie was amazing. Will be requesting her on my next visit. I forgot the name of my main meal. But I also ordered grits and cheese.
Great service and delicious food with plenty of seating for large groups. Our group of 4 stopped in for breakfast in September 2022. We were seated quickly and asked for a few recommendations which our server happily provided. Some of the breakfast entrees are large enough for sharing, so keep that in mind. Definitely worth a visit. Try the French Toast!
I tried this out as my first stop in Kentucky and man was it a great choice! The restaurant looked to have good sandwiches and the reviews were great as well. This is all I needed to make my choice and I headed here straight from the airport. The building was huge and featured two parts. A big open area and then a smaller, close knit dining area. There weren’t too many people here at 8 o’clock when I arrived, which made it seem that much cooler. It took a while to get served but once I did it went pretty quickly. I got the King Charles, which is their open face tuna melt and I added the Homemade Benedictine which is a cucumber / cream cheese mixed spread that is really popular in the city. The server hinted that this was an odd combo but I’d say taste wise it was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. It was paired with the smashed potatoes which were also delicious. The entire meal came out to $12.75 + tax/tip so certainly a great priced dinner for the experience. I would highly recommend this place!
Not going to lie, this place was a bit overrated. I first checked in, there was a solid amount of tables but had to wait to make sure none of the reservations came. Finally after 15 minutes I was able to be seated. Kinda took another 10 minutes to check in with me for my order too. I ordered a Hot Brown and a shot of Double Oak Barrel Woodford Reserve. The Hot Brown portion was a bit smaller than most restaurants. It was still good taste wise, the sauce was money. Overall it's a cool vibe but it just seemed to chaotic to really enjoy.
Very good brunch and lunch spot. Stoppedin on a Monday for brunch and everyone in our group really liked their meal. I had the BLT with fries, it was excellent. They also have a good variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Great indoor and outdoor space and a friendly staff to top it off.
Good service, extensive menu, great building, efficient waitstaff. One of the biggest surprises was the desserts. Not only are the cake slices gigantic, but they are heavenly tasting. Parking can be a premium so going early pre-noon or later 1p on would probably have more available parking. My only precaution is for deli sandwich fans: these are not NYC Broadway Deli-style overloaded with meat sandwiches. If you're looking for something like that, your best bet would be Stevens & Stevens.
The food, atmosphere, and staff were fabulous! Large portions. The large biscuits were a little bit dry even with the gravy, but it wasn't a big enough issue to bring down the 5 star rating because everything else made up for it. Thw waitress who had just moved here from Florida was fantastic...welcome to Kentucky! I really loked the biscuits and gravy coming in a bowl, with a layer of sausage on the bottom, followed by open biscuit smothered in gravy, and another large biscuit cut open and placed on top for a beautiful looking dish. The wife even had to take home their famous tomato dill soup we forgot to get a picture of. I highly recommend this place.
I went for the first time with my sister and girlfriend for my birthday. Service, food & drinks was good especially for the price. I ordered the "Stephen Foster" for breakfast & would go back to try the lunch menu.
Our server, Claire, got to handle our entire tour bus. She did a fantastic job and was friendly as she did it. Great food, huge portions, fresh flavors.
