The Cannery

It was a beautiful experience. The staff was very courteous; The sighting is beautiful. I will recommend this place to anyone !!!!

I went to The Cannery for an event last night and was surprised I had never heard of this place. The venue is beautifully done, with gorgeous lighting an chic white couches in certain areas. They did offer a valet service, but parking was easy and right across the street. There was ample parking for this event, but I can imagine it possibly being a problem if a bunch more people were there. An open bar was provided or you could pay cash if you didn’t want the well drinks. I opted for the free drinks, and must say the quality of the well drinks was the lowest I’ve ever seen. The food was slightly below average. Unfortunately, the fish and chicken had a rubbery texture. I’m assuming they were overcooked. The salad, potatoes and asparagus were all good. I didn’t try the desserts, but my friend did. She said the chocolate cookie was very dry. Overall, I would recommend booking this venue for an event. However, I would be clear on expectations regarding the quality of the food.

We had my daughter's wedding reception at The Cannery in January 2022 and it was absolutely perfect. Kellie and her staff were wonderful to work with and the place was just beautiful. She absolutely reassured us before the wedding that she would take care of all the details and she did!! All of our guests raved about the food, the decor and the service. There was never a line at the bar and the food was delicious. The service was really top notch as everyone told me that the food just kept coming and coming. I honestly wished I would have eaten more, but I was too busy as mother of the bride mingling and dancing. We chose The Cannery after visiting other New Orleans venues and we were glad that we did. The free parking across the street was an added bonus that our guests appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for hosting a wedding.

Attended a wedding here. Food was pretty good. The dance floor was small and the cash bar was very limited.

Lots of room for parties/receptions. Food was excellent, servers were great.

Went here for the psychic fest. It was fun and very entertaining. The establishment was very nice. Lots of parking across the street

I traveled to New Orleans to tour wedding venues. Dayna gave my mom, fiancé, and I a tour of the venue. We were all very displeased with the tour because she was not very informative about anything, as if she didn’t take us serious. There was no photo album for us to view nor were we offered any water or champagne. The Cannery will not be getting our business. Luckily, we toured a different venue prior to this one and will go with that venue instead.

Great lighting. It was beautiful inside. Food was needing a little seasoning but overall it was good place to have a reception.
