The CHAP Thrift Store

I’ve been going to CHAP’s for 3 years now. Very organized thrift store, prices overall are good (find articles of clothes priced high, yet many fairly priced or marked down.) Regular sale days, which save you 50% on clothes or the entire store). So why only 3 stars? It’s a ministry based thrift store, there are several very kind individuals working (volunteering). Yet I’ve experienced or seen the rude comments, remarks or shouting instructions to customers were to put donations. ( I have noticed the elderly customers get treated ‘better’, employees/volunteers smile, greet & thank for coming in. It’s room for definite improvement

organized, pricing is a bit high, and some of the staff is not friendly. When speaking to someone you should NOT yell from 20 feet away about something you assume I have in my hands! Thankfully, there was a nice young man who corrected the jerk that quickly ran over to yell at me! The youn man helped me gather the donations from my car, thanked me, and apologized for the rude coworker.

I have been to nearly every thrift store in the metro multiple times and this place is more overpriced than any of them. The merchandise is well organized. That's about all I have to say about it. I understand the God thing, but wow was that overboard here.

Everyone is soooo kind!! What a blessing, not only getting food, but Debbie and Maureen made me feel like a touch from the Lord!!! I felt like I was important not embarrassed for asking for help. I would love coming back just for there company and prayer! Thank you for the blessing of food and people, love and prayers Debra Edmunds

I brought in a recliner, household goods and books. Except for one very friendly young man, the rest made me feel like I was bothering them. Also after helping unload the goods and getting my receipt, no one said thank you. If this is a ministry to further God's kingdom, they should uplift everyone and work with joy! They pretty much ruined my day for awhile.
