The owner is rude. Also the price on the website is not what you will be paying. I thought I was paying $215 and paid $250 the first time. No problem. Second time I tried to confirm the price, the owner, Dominik was very standoffish. I asked him questions about my final price and he said he didn’t know and to call back next day which was my appt day because my stylist wasn’t in. My hair color came out nice the first time but Dominick is super rude and isn’t helpful as the owner. Edwin is a doll.Service: Hairstyling
Frustrating experience overall. Want to preface this by saying my stylist was very nice and friendly. However, the overall experience was relatively poor. Seven minutes before my appointment, I got a call saying my stylist was running behind and asking for me to come in 30-60 mins after my appointment time. I know this often happens, but I would’ve appreciated more of a heads up. I show up at the new time and wait while my stylist is wrapping up with his previous client she honestly looks great. When he’s ready, I explain what kind of cut I’m looking for basically a Rachel and how I typically wear my hair blown out. I’m feeling good about the interaction until I get to the wash bowl and he tells me he won’t be blowing out my hair which is included in the service because he has another client coming and styling my hair will take a while. For context, I never wear my hair naturally so this is disappointing but he seems confident he can make it look cute so I just go with it. The cut doesn’t take very long. Things start to go downhill when we get to styling. There’s a lot of wet brushing which is a curly no-no and sticky pomade. My stylist asked for feedback on the cut but I really had nothing to say since I can’t see the style in this curly state. He offers to refine it more if I style it later and find it’s not to my liking, and also mentions he won’t charge me. I end up leaving looking like a very unchic version of Siouxsie Sioux. The experience just made me feel bad tbh. I paid for a service that was only half done, if that, while clearly seeing the quality of care extended to other customers. I really wish there was more pride taken in the work and I would’ve appreciated if they had just canceled my appointment if scheduling wouldn’t allow for them to extend that same level of service to me. The salon is nice and the people are friendly, but overall this is not an elevated experience or one that I’m excited to ever repeat.
Open for five years, the owner is proud of his hair salon for all types of hair, and does great work. When you walk in it feels well put together and clean with a friendly with a casual vibe. I wanted to chop some hair off to break out of my high bun phase and get a cute choppy low maintenance short cut and Dominik knew exactly what to do. It was worth the price to work with someone confident, quick, and skilled. And very nice. There's also a cute salon pup named Blue, bonus. Edit, six weeks later: I tried to be a real adult today and return to get my hair trimmed after six weeks… and Dominik was so sweet to tell me it still looks great it really is growing out beautifully and he didn’t want to take my money just to trim off a bit of length that didn’t need to go. It’s refreshing to meet someone who really just wants you to look great first, and get paid second. So I’ll return closer to Thanksgiving and get cleaned up for the holidays. Thank you Dominik!
Dominic and Edwin are friendly and professional. My daughter booked the appointment for a silk press during our visit to NYC for her 18th birthday. I wasn’t sure a white guy could pull it off- but I was pleased surprised!! Superb job! The UN of hairstylists…. Highly recommendServices: Hairstyling

If I could give The Club 10 stars, I would! Before I met Dominik I would fly to Pittsburgh several times a year for trims with my previous stylist. It took me nearly 3 years to find someone who listens to my hair concerns, is professional, and makes me feel fabulous every time I leave their chair. I would also recommend his junior stylist as they have performed blowouts to perfection and their clients always look amazing!
I would recommend to anyone. EDIT: I went to Dominik for him to cut my chest-level hair short. Had to schedule two weeks in advance to get a slot with him. It was Saturday morning and The Club was a palace of clean and relax. Dominik and everyone were positive and nice, and professional all throughout. Now I love my new short and easy hair, just 3 or 4 inches long, and people keep pampering me. Inside the place, I felt that the seating, the decor, everything was a premium experience. Price wise, for women, I am honestly still unjaded to women's fat prices just to have their hair cut; but for men, I think The Club delivers quite well on its price tag!
I live in the neighborhood and had admired the salon from a distance for awhile until I finally decided to stop in. I just had a cut with Raffi. It was just a trim, but he did a great job. Walked me through what he was going to do and made some suggestions beyond what I was looking for. The salon is chic but friendly and I could tell that the 4 other customers there were all long time patrons. The price was great for the quality and I will definitely be returning.
