We had a great stay for our two nights there. We had an issue with the room late at night but we waited until morning to have the problem fixed. I asked a Housekeeper to check out our issue with the room but she did not understand me. She ask another coworker to help, his name was Franky. He was very nice and came over to our room to see what was going on and was able to have an engineer come to our room. This man was great as well and took care the problem right away. Our last night we decided to give the restaurant a try again Franky was there and greeted us with a smile and talk with us some. Seems like he lives there as he was always there but it was great to see him, he is a very welcoming person. We had a great stay only thing we really saw was the rooms need some good TLC.
Perhaps my worst hotel stay of the last decade -- and I travel A LOT. Granted I like to stay at nice places, I'll try to stay fair to the operators. Let me begin by saying that they have renovations going on on the floor where they assigned me. There is wall paper hanging down from the walls, carpeting is stripped up and laying on the floor, piles of screws and other construction debris in the doorways. When I walked into my room, it was obvious that someone had been smoking in the room. The smell of cigarettes was palpable and bothered me all night as I tried to sleep. One of the electrical outlets in my room did not function and the alarm clock was dead as a consequence. The maids were knocking on my door at 8AM to wake me up and ask if they could have the room. Jeez Louise! In the morning, I traipsed downstairs to use the laundry. I put a pair of boxer shorts and a pair of socks into a drier that charged $1.50 for a 30 minute run. It has been my experience that all of the hotels I use charge $1.25 for a full hour. Anyway, the drier did NOT get my three tiny items dry. The lady using the drier above mine told me she had to run a modest load three times that's 90 minutes and it still wasn't dry. She simply gave up as did I. I am wearing wet socks as I type this. On inspection, it is apparent that they have piped both driers to the outside vent using a shared vent line. Two tiny driers attempting to push through the same pipe doesn't work. This does not completely explain her issue, however, since she only had to share a single vent line for her last 30 minute load. The driers are simply weak and poorly vented on top of that. I tried to check out an hour early. The front desk was unable to provide me with the receipt I need in order to get reimbursed. The explanation was that I had booked through Expedia and hence I needed to contact them for a receipt. Truth is that the airline booked this room for me when they abandoned me at the airport. Anyway, I was unable to get on the next shuttle run to the airport since I had not given them a 4 hour advance notice. This despite the fact that their third party marketing and sign at the desk stated that shuttle service ran 24 hours per day on the half hour. All in all, this was an $85/night lodging experience that charged me $194 to book. Be advised that everyone I encountered at this hotel freely complained of something. This appears to be a franchisee using the Radisson name. Unless you have no options, I DO NOT advise staying at this hotel. With all of the local choices, there simply is NO REASON to do so.
Garbage hotel. Disgusting. Poorly managed. Rooms are gross and our room's thermostat was broken. Hallways are beat up and dirty. Beware of elevator. Breakfast not included. Looks like no maintenance has been done on hotel in the last 5 years.Rooms: 1/5
Beautiful lobby, and comfy bed. Really need to work on customer service and maintenance! Hubby took a shower and the shower didn't drain, at all!! He called the front desk and they said we were out of luck 'til morning. We were only staying 'til our flight left at 5am. We were there for quick showers and a quick sleep. My husband went down to the lobby to talk to the guy, who was hiding around the corner watching videos on his phone, he came around and said he had someone looking for a plunger. No apologies, no offering to make it right. My husband asked if he could just put us in another room, he rolled his eyes and finally agreed. The new room functioned, but was not very clean, there were dried toothpaste spots on the walls, something dripping down another wall, and mildew around the bathroom door frame and in most of the shower's tile grout. Glad we were able to get the shower and sleep we needed, but definitely wouldn't recommend.
No heat. Someone did bring a space heater. No hot water. We thought breakfast was included but it was not. The people behind me thought so too. I was told to go ask. It isn’t. The beds are good. The management is less than adept at hospitality.
What a dump! In its hayday this hotel was probably nice, but today Its old and outdated, has a mildew smell covered up by some sort of air freshener. Shuttle van has same smell I've stayed at several Radisson Hotels and this one does not live up to the standard. Bathroom had missing grout and loose tile. I'm sure if I stepped wrong I could have cut my foot on a sharp edge. Sloppy silicone in the shower shows a poor attempt at stopping a leak. Shower plumbing was loose inside the wall. After a thorough inspection of the bed I found it rather comfortable. If had known the condition of this hotel I would have stayed elsewhere. I only stayed here because my flight was delayed and airline put me up for the night.. This hotel needs to be re-branded as a cheap, budget hotel.
I appreciated having a restaurant on-site after a long day. The food and service were good. Rooms were nice with comfortable beds. Hallways are undergoing renovations, so they are investing in the place. Check out was easy. Lobby had some lounge areas and business center with computers.Rooms: 4/5
I stayed here on Sat night 11/26. My room was lovely, even grander considering the low price. The lass who checked me in was wearing a T-shirt, so no issues with heat in the hotel. And I had no problems taking a hot shower. Whatever triggered all the recent 1-star reviews seems to have been resolved. Having said that, make no mistake, this is not a nice part of SLC.
Don’t waste your money!!! First off the room was dirty and outdated, stained up chair and stains on the pillowcases. Nasty We were in a Queen room and only had 1 wash cloth, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels. The customer Service at the front desk was rude and did not explain the shuttle process thoroughly. For that reason we missed our 8:30 shuttle to the airport by being in the lobby at 8:33 because the elevator was broke and had to Carry our luggage down the stairs. The shuttle left before 8:30 and they tried to pass it off like nothing. Not to mention They charged us $8.99 for a continental breakfast!!! Really, it cost us $20 to have the choice of cold cereal, scrambled eggs, and sausage links. Not a good experience at all.
Upon arrival, I was told my room type was sold out. Then, immediately after, they told me they actually did have my room and it would be ready later. My room was thrown together, there were only sheets on the bed and no extra blankets. The end itself was so stiff. The bathroom was terrible, with the tiles cracking and everything in places. I didn’t end up showering. I had a really early flight in the morning and my room was situated directly under the second floor where the flight of stairs ends. I was up ALL NIGHT. It was so loud above me all night, I couldn’t sleep at all. I stayed here so it would be close to the airport. I appreciated the free shuttle. Overall, the stay is not awesome and you get what you pay for. Cheap hotel, cheap amenities and service, and no sleep.
