Absolutely fantastic place. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop, and loved the coffee. I got the breakfast panini as well and goodness was it delicious. Highly recommend giving this place a try!!!
I read a review here saying the Ice Vanilla Latte was great and that’s a serious lie. Been to a bunch of different coffee shops and this Ice Vanilla Latte is NOT WORTH the price for almost $6. Got my drink and it was over sweet, the guy kindly fix it but it still didn’t taste like an actual espresso drink. The only redeeming thing is the place looked clean and the staff were friendly.
I ordered online through delivery service. The sandwich was very hard to eat. Thick, hard slices of white bread, not much on the inside. Two tiny, extremely thin slices of bacon which I paid an extra $1.50 to add to the sandwich. The bread to ingredient ratio was out of wack. I basically ate mouthfuls of dry bread. Had to throw most of it away, because it was simply unappetizing and dry. Not worth the $10.50+ that I paid! The "fresh" fruit cup was anything but fresh. Old blackberries and shriveled clementine slices that were certainly not prepared that day. Will not order again. Terrible quality for all the money paid.
Caramel latte was ok. Husband coffee was ok. Latte could have been hotter. To go only. Small chalk written menu, couldn't read it. Wouldn't let you get close enough to read it, covid19. But think about making a print out and taping it to the wall next to where you stop people, so a person can see what flavors of drinks you have and prices. Not a hard fix, to what I thought to be annoying. The guy taking the order seemed annoyed, cuz I was trying to see the menu. The other guy that bought us our drinks... MASK OVER MOUTH AND NOSE, NOT JUST MOUTH THANK YOU. There's lots of places to get coffee. Not impressed.
They opened late. The menu's are on TV's which weren't turned on yet. Placed our order and the guy started making coffees for a customer that came in after us. It took him 10 minutes to do this before he even started on our order of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. It has now been 35 minutes since we stepped in the door. I will never come back here again. They lost $50 a day. The food better be EPIC!!!
“Farm to table” is a bit of a stretch. The trans-Siberian sandwich description made it sound amazing, but the actual product was disappointing. Definitely wasn’t living up to wth description “grilled sourdough bread smothered in melted Brie, layered with ripe Roma tomato, fresh basilwasn’t any, crispy cucumber, and seasoned olive oil.”
I ordered an ice Carmel latte with almond milk, which I though was a safe choice! I was definitely wrong. It tasted awful… almost sour? I am someone who really enjoys espresso, but today I was craving something sweet. I don’t know if the espresso shots were tempered wrong or if the milk was bad, but either way I couldn’t finish it because it tasted like it was spoiled. Really disappointing considers I paid like $6 for it.
I had a vegetable panini style breakfast sandwich here that was extraordinary. Super friendly staff, which isn't always the case downtown. A funky shaped building that can put you in the window of the busiest street in the city or tucked away in quiet warmth with a book. 4 stars instead of 5 because they're closed on Saturdays. EDIT: As the very responsive owner noted below, the store IS scheduled to be open on Saturdays. I had stopped by several Saturdays and they weren't open; perhaps there was a temporary staff snafu. I appreciate the owner's correction to my original review.
This was my first time having The Coffee Bean. My food arrived at least 15 minutes early. The Coffee Bean’s driver was friendly and helpful with the door while I accepted my bag while juggling my toddler. To top it off, my breakfast was delicious! Both my 1 and 3 year old enjoyed their croissant sandwich and double chocolate muffin very much. They definitely made a new regular customer today!
Tried the Trader and Hiawatha sandwiches. Both VERY tasty and filling! I also tried the Mocha and was surprised to find it was delicious! I'm very coffee-picky, so it's exciting to find good coffee in random places. Daughter loved the window seating and people watching. Also had the blueberry muffin and enjoyed it
