A smaller but well stocked college store, offering branded clothes, apparel, stationery, books, and so on. They often have good sales on Algonquin College branded clothes and apparel.
actually good prices, lines can be long though.
The staff was extremely helpful and the place was very nice and clean
I've always been greeted upon entering this store and have received good customer service. The variety of items is incredible and I'm amazed at how innovative they care to be by offering eco friendly options and brands for school supplies as well as clothing and gifts. They're always improving and that's the best sign for a store in my opinion.
Lots of selection and some awesome clothing items. Lots of electronics both new and refurbished and the staff was pretty friendly and helpful for the most part. A little but disorganized at times but you can pretty much always count on getting what you need from them.
There are many books and needs for Algonquin students.
Horrible bookstore buy your books elsewhere I bought a book for a course through work, instead of delivering it they said it was "returned" - no call or email just refunded the amount. This is the second time this happened - the last time I had it delivered to my home and same thing. Refused to refund the delivery amount too despite never even trying to deliver it - no note, no call, no email I had to call both times to figure out what happened. Incredibly frustrating staff on the phone. They don't even apologize just act super rude about it like it's your fault they are too incompetent to deliver a book.
Great quality store, good technology and layout. Poor customer service. The service providers or students working there have a false potrayal of readiness to serve. They speak in a somewhat professional way but don't want to or are unwilling to help. I was not aknowledged while standing near a help desk in two different locations. Both young women i spoke to redirected me to eachother stating that the other girl in the other location was required to help me. There were no other customers in the store at the time with the exception of one woman who came later. After 3 times of speaking to one girl at the print center behind the closed door, she finally decided to take responsiblity for helping me log onto a computer that requires a log in. I had already told her that I was not a student but needed service students have a log in username and password. This is a deceptive way of serving people and I find it worst than someone who is grumpy but actually willing to help.
Worst customer service ever. This college bookstore sells used laptops at the same price as new ones. Not fair for students who are struggling with OSAP. I would NOT recommend buying a laptop in their book store to anyone. When books are finished, it takes few weeks or not at all to commend others, so you can leave without books you are looking for, in a month. Other than that, the campus is amazing.
First week of school is always busy, but educating the staff might actually help. I asked one person on the floor for help, she sent me to wait in the main cash line. The cashier I spoke to after waiting approx. 15 minutes told me I waited in the wrong line and sent me to a different one. 15 minutes later in a second line they said I waited in the wrong line and to go back to the original one I waited in. Over a half an hour later, I finally get to the right spot and then they don't even have the e-text code available for my course. When I asked when it would be, they said "no idea" and to try again tomorrow with 0 guarantee it will even be available.
