The Conservatory of Piano

My son has been learn piano here for 3 years and my daughter joined 1year ago. We like their teachers. They know how to teach kids music, not with long practicing tim, but by encouraging and make it fun. Also I like their administrative staff who can always find a class which fit to my schedule. Most important we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in this place.

We have been with The Conservatory of Piano for over 10 years. It is a wonderful place to have our daughters learn how to play the piano. The staff is amazing and we could not be more pleased with our experience there. The recitals really show off the abilities of the students and give them a sense of accomplishment. The staff and owners are very organized and on top of everything. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in piano lessons.

We have had a great experience at the Conservatory – for almost 20 years! Our oldest child has special needs and continues to enjoy lessons and recitals. Our 3 other kids each took lessons from preschool until just weeks before leaving for college. The benefits of taking lessons all those years went far beyond learning to play the piano. I look at the staff as part of that “village” it takes to raise a child. The teachers, like an ideal coach, were all able to get to know how each child learns or is motivated, then encouraged them in the most effective/individualized way. Besides having very high standards and expectations for themselves as well as their students, they also don’t take things TOO seriously. The students feel respected and have fun at the same time. Humor is never far below the surface of the atmosphere at the Conservatory.

My twins 7 years old boy and girl are taking lessons at Conservatory almost 4 years now. All instructors are well educated and trained to teach any levels of students. My children enjoy taking lessons. We are currently facing COVID-19 crisis and all lessons are offered online by Skype. The Conservatory is well organized to offer online lessons and we are able to continue taking lessons without interruption. Since the online lesson began, not only my children are improving their skills, but I am also improving my music skills getting better at reading notes! as, just being there with my kids for their lessons : I would definitely recommend the Conservatory to anyone who is interested in playing piano at any ages!!!

I have been studying piano at the Conservatory for over 5 years, as an adult student. It is an amazing place. The music instruction is high quality. The instructors and staff treat each other as well as the students with great respect. The teaching is very thorough and also fun. My 3 kids have been taking lessons at the Conservatory for the past 12 years. The school is great. The teachers are excellent musicians and make learning piano fun! My kids have enjoyed their teachers and have found them to be very responsive to their preferences for learning certain types of music. They felt encouraged and motivated. They learned to read music at a very young age. They feel very prepared for the recital and for the OMEA competitions. They are so confident on stage. All of my kids have developed a wonderful relationship with their teachers and are already sad about going off to college next year and leaving the Conservatory behind! All 3 of my kids have developed a passion for music that started with this school. I strongly recommend the Conservatory to any family looking for a great exposure to music for their kids.

As a former student, I took lessons here for 13 years and loved every minute of it. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and they have grown from teachers and mentors to lifelong friends. In terms of instruction, I felt that the teaching here was full of encouragement that pushed me to discover my potential and love of music that led me to pursue a music degree. What made a huge difference between these lessons and others was the fact that I knew that every single teacher was knowledgeable and cared about all of their students. It wasn't a place where they sent you home to learn music by yourself or came across as disorganized. Every book, every song had a purpose to build the piano player into a competent, lifelong musician...no cookie cutter lessons here! I continue to share my love of music to this day, and would encourage anyone who is even thinking about taking lessons to try the Conservatory of Piano.

My son has been taking lessons here for about 3 years and we have always loved it. All the teachers have been great, but we especially love Mr. Van Sickle - he keeps my son engaged and excited in his lessons. They recently adopted virtual lessons and progress has still been great. When I decided to start piano lessons I researched several possibilities. Beginning lessons as an adult was somewhat daunting. My final choice was The Conservatory of Piano. The instructors are very talented in their ability to teach and give so much encouragement. I also appreciate the one price per month, including all your music. If you need to rearrange your schedule for lessons they will do their best to accommodate. The entire staff is not only instructors, they are my friends !! Ready for lessons.... this is your place !!
