I am in the café leaving this review. I couldn’t wait until I left to leave it. As soon as you walk through the doors you were greeted by numerous people the staff were absolutely amazing from security to the front desk person to the nurses and doctors walking in the halls, it’s really clean and the atmosphere is so happy and uplifting. The cafe is beyond words. The food was A+ and the staff were fun and inviting. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Makes me happy to know my dad is in good hands
Was admitted for BKA - stayed Friday night through Tuesday afternoon while awaiting insurance auth for a rehab facility. Every meal was excellent- not just fresh but warm/hot and made with good ingredients. I Was very impressed! The nursing staff and CNAs were all very caring and attentive. Never heard complaints or gripes and they seemed to work well together. Room was nice - lots of tv stations although I’m not a big watcher. I would recommend the specialty hospital and the Core Inst. for that upcoming ortho surgery.
My doctor was great. But patient beware of surprise billing on ct scans!!! I was told my responsibility was $380. Which I paid before the procedure. It was more than I expected but paid it. Then 3 months later I received a bill for additional $250. When I asked what this was for they said it was for a different doctor that was 3rd party. DO NOT GET CT SCANS FROM THE CORE INSTITUTE. Go to Siemen Med or Banners. They don’t do surprise billings. I would have not gotten the CT scan if I would have known it was going to be $630 out of my pocket. Especially when I was already told it would be $380.This is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. They would not fix my problem and when asked to speak to a supervisor my call was sent to voicemail. Very frustrating , unacceptable customer service.
The entire staff--admissions, nurses, pre-op and operating staff, doctors, CNA's, physical therapists, pharmacists, internists, nutritionists and meal staff, even the valet car parkers--provided me with outstanding, patient-oriented, and caring attention. I highly recommend this hospital for quality care and excellent service. My spinal surgeon, Dr. Justin Field and his colleagues at D.I.S.K., use this facility for its outstanding treatment of their patients.
Had surgery here on my back. Was expecting it to be a great experience being a specialty hospital and not a regular hospital. My mother an RN , my husband and I were not impressed. They tried to send me home with really low blood pressure and I couldn't move without help. Had no pain meds for more than most of the first day post-op. I told them the Dr said I was to be there 2 days. They were in to much of a hurry to discharge me. I had an hour and half drive to my home. The hospital staff made me feel like they didn't care about my care. It took me forever to get help when calling the nurses station. One nurse got annoyed by having to adjust my bed cuz I couldn't adjust myself around pillows to find the arrow buttons to the bed. I was so happy to get out of the hospital. My mom's perspective having her work experience said this should of been alot better for me. Communication between staff wasn't professional or helpful. All 3 of us were upset with the care I got. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone. I wish I could of went to the hospital I wanted to go to. Seriously dissapointing to get this experience from a specialty hospital especially when the nurses found out by observation that im the daughter of a nurse. Hope they learn to work on their customer service and proffessionalism after the embarrassment they caused themselves in front of another proffessional in the same trade. Take pride in what you do or get out of the field. My motto for having 20 years of customer service experience in the public eye
I’m writing this review while waiting for my husbands rotator cuff surgery to be finished. The process started out pretty easy. UNTIL two days before surgery. When it was decided to do surgery we got pre surgery information. He also received some information from CORE about surgery prep via email. We Read and familiarized ourselves with it. The afternoon before surgery he gets another packet of information, from the RN. Only this time it contradicts some of the information from CORE. It contradicted when and if and what time to Then….yeah there’s more. Then when we were getting ready to put the address into the GPS, my husband realizes that he has been given 3 different addresses to report to! It took 4 phone calls… As I’d surgery isn’t stressful enough. I work in a health clinic and I would be mortified if my front office and back office weren’t giving my patients the RIGHT information. I know sometimes things happen… we are all human. This is TOO MANY MISTAKES. Two stars because the nurses are lovely.
My nephew had hip replacement, The Doctors & staff was very nice, It would be nice if they had an emergency phone contact
Surgery was uneventful, waiting areas were clean. Cafeteria was small but had some good choices.
Wouldn't recommend it. Came in with a broken wrist, provided my own x-rays from urgent care, talked to the doctor for no more than 5 minutes. Didn't require casting, used a splint that I self provided, doc told me to keep it on for 4 weeks. All this I'm fine with. But somehow that qualifies on billing $1000? The urgent Care where they actually had to use special equipment x-ray and spent more time on me charged far less, go somewhere else that doesn't view you as an atm machine.
Yesterday I had a MRI at the Imaging part of the Core Hospital on 19th ave. The ladies checking you in were pleasant and Mike the MRI guy was Great! I've had a few MRI's over the years and the earphones were the best at keeping the noise down as much as possible. Thanks to all! Jeff G.
