This is a great luxury apartment complex. In the middle of Town Center. Management is fabulous at every level. Plenty of great parking in the parking garage. Great outdoor swimming pool, clubhouse and workout center. If you are looking for a great place in Town Center to live. I highly recommend you check the Cosmopolitan out. You will not be disappointed.

Nice modern apartments... the best in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach. But the management staff was so unbelievably rude and haughty when I was living there that it made it an unpleasant experience. I've lived in several other luxury condo/apartment communities, and since I'm a quiet, respectful person who pays my rent on time and has never caused a problem anywhere I go, I've never encountered anyone that WASN'T warm & welcoming towards me. But the people that run this place were not friendly at all.
One particularly snotty girl on a power trip actually stalked me on the security camera and then marched upstairs to kick me out of the pool area because my roommate wasn't there with me, even though I was just sitting in a lounge chair reading, trying to enjoy a few minutes of sunshine. (And all of the other chairs were empty!) This kind of treatment is insane. I can't imagine anyone acting like that at my former condo in Florida. Unless you're someone who looks like a criminal. [They said that I wasn't allowed to be at the pool or gym without my roommate, because my name wasn't on the lease. I was subletting from my roommate for the first couple months, because I didn't want to commit to a year-long lease when I wasn't sure if I was staying in Virginia Beach. My fiance had just been re-stationed because he's in the military, and I wasn't sure if I was going to move across the world with him yet, so I was just looking for a safe, pretty place to move for a few months after we sold our house. But apparently subletting is against their "policies," even though millions of people do it across the country every day. So basically, I wasn't allowed to use the amenities, even though my roommate and I were paying equal amounts to live there.] The Management also left my roommate and I a couple angry typed-up “warning” letters under the door, even though we never did anything wrong. It was almost comical, because we had more "rules" than when we lived with our parents as teenagers.
Oh yeah: I also got carbon monoxide poisoning while I was living here, so be careful! I'm not sure if it was from living above a parking garage, from a leak in the gas pipes, an issue with the water heater, the vent in my room, the natural gas that they use, or the people living below me... but something in the air made me extremely sick, and cost me $3,000 in hospital bills. The maintenance guy refused to dig any deeper and look for the root of the problem, even though my hospital tests showed that I had high levels of CO2 in my blood. He just said that my room had a carbon monoxide detector, and it would go off if there was something to be worried about. (News flash: those detectors don't go off until the level of CO2 in the air is enough to kill you within 3 hours. They need to get LOW LEVEL carbon monoxide detectors! Because carbon monoxide can still have incredibly damaging health effects at low levels, especially for people with heart problems. And elderly people. And children. At higher levels, it will kill you in your sleep.) It was so bad that I had to move out immediately, into a house that doesn't use natural gas. All I have to say is THANK GOD that I WASN'T locked into a lease, because I guarantee that they would not have let me terminate it, even if it was because of a dangerous health issue beyond my control.

When we planning to continue our current lease, went to the office and Olivia was the one we talking to, she was so rude & cold, she told us if we continuing with current lease, we would have to pay extra, unless we apply another 6 months above it, then we can keep same price, we asked her why? She told us they need to making money from residents, and it suppose to go up 3%+ every year, to me, that's unprofessional answers, I know every business expecting profit, but you don't have to tell us on the face with a rude tone. I have live here almost 3 years, the previous management haven't raise my rent til I signed only 6 months term which is my current lease, our rent has been raise because from 12 months to 6 months, which I understand that part completely. When we tell her we might consider moving out if we can't keep current rate with same term, she told us " sure, you can move out if you want to", she was so careless with bad attitude, that's very bad customer service. Again, I can see the manager Kathy have been trying hard to keep current residents, I do appreciated the new events we have recently, like Bingo, coming up painting night, yoga & Zumba class, but when you have rude staffs, it's easy for us to forget how hard you have tried to keep us here. Jess was rude too, I though she was Kathy when she stepped out of the manager office, I was so disappointed when I thought she was the manager & deal the situation poorly, so I went back there want to speak with Kathy, the gentlemen siting on the front table, he was incredible nice & calm when I explained the situation, he told me Kathy is out of town, and asked if anything else he can help with, this is a great customer service. This is our home, and our rent isn't cheap because of the location, so we deserve to be treated with respect.
Now I have mixed feeling about our apartment.

wow.. So I attempted to look at some apartments and never met such rude people in my life. I was lost trying to find the rental office and ran into a maintenance person who happen to be outside. He acted so bothered to tell me that the entrance for the leasing office was at the opposite side of the building. Once I arrived they leasing person felt too bothered to show me an apartment. I went to Encore instead and got much better treatment
