NEVER AGAIN!!! Went there and bought 1dz X large, 2 dz large and they were definitely not the right size. Some in the bag could pass for large and x large but towards the bottom they were medium and regulars. They were super light and flat out MUSH! We took them back only to be told there were no more x large so we settled on them making them all large and when they brought the bag out to the car these crabs were even smaller. Once I came to return the first set the young lady who was super nice the first time turned into a rude and obnoxious person. Making faces and staring me down like I did something wrong. The second batch were smaller and still MUSH. I’m not even gonna bother to take them back! Threw them in the trash and taking it as a loss and lesson learned. First pic is supposed to be and X large. Second pic are supposed to be larges 250 down the drain
My Family just got done eating a bushel of Male crabs. They were absolutely fantastic. My mother in law is from Baltimore and she was very happy with the size of the males and the quality that was sent. GREAT JOB I'll be definitely buying more soon.Food: 5/5
I spent 80$ on 3 dozen small males and butter,Never again. What a wasted of money Some of the worst crabs in Baltimore quality and seasons. The butter is not real butter it's watered down. I won't ever go there again. I had to throw my crabs away. The customer service is only good because they want your money. They don't care.
Update 4/3/21 w/ pics Tried the crabs againlarge females They were much better. There was more meat and the flavor was enhanced by dipping the crabs in the seasoning though I would prefer flavor throughout the crab without doing that. Customer service was still good and EJ hooked me up. If you had an issue before, let them know. They seem to care about the customer and will work with you no problem. 1st review from crabs purchased in the summer: Crabs had no flavor and meat was light. Customer service was good.
Originally went to “LP’s” but they were out of crabs and they sent us here. Light, missing claws and a little dry. Heard crab season has been tough this year, 40% down from last year. Still enjoyed.
Crab meat was horrible…$38.95 for Lump and it was so shredded and mushy and smelled crabbier than normal, not in a good way. I won’t buy anything from them again. I gave 2 stars because the shrimp was okay I cooked myself
I visited from Atlanta and decided to come here for crabs because it was only 15 minutes from my hotel. I ordered one dozen medium females and 1.5 lbs of steamed shrimp. Paid $65 CASH. 8/12 crabs were damn near empty and mush. I didn’t even bother to take them back because my time was limited. I only gave 2 stars because the two girls were extremely nice and had amazing customer service. But if it weren’t for that, I would have given 1 star. I’m from the DMV so I should know better and should have taken my a** to ACTUAL Baltimore for my crabs
I ordered 2 dozen crabs to be delivered the day before Mothers Day and I received notification that the crabs would be arriving 5 days early. I called Crab Depot and they were already on top of the issue. Told me to enjoy the crabs I recieved early and they would honor my original request. The first batch were a good size and weight and full of meat. Oh and I just recieved notification that my original request will be arriving tomorrow. Thank you Crab Depot there is one happy momma in this house.
I would love to leave a 0 star review however that option is not available. My wife and i ordered a dozen crabs for fathers day with overnight shipping. On the day the crabs were supposed to be delivered we get an email saying they would not be able to fulfill their delivery for fathers day. My wife contacted the company and spoke to a lady named Tory who offered to upgrade our crabs to the next largest size or add some "extras" to our order for the inconvenience. Being as things happen outside of people control we accepted their offer and waited for the delivery to be made a few days after fathers day. Welp...we should have cancelled right than and there as when the crabs finally did arrive there was nothing that was promised. While i was irritated the crabs were late i was angered that they had welched on their side yet again. Furthermore my father informed me that while they were a lovely gesture that he would not be eating them as the ice packs were warm when they arrived at his house. By now my wife was angry as well and called the company yet again. After getting the run around for over 30 mins the message was relayed from the owner Greg Daily that we were to send the crabs back to them as verification in order to get a refund. This clearly was an absurd request as the box of undersized crabs were sitting in the heat cooking up a nice ripe smell. It was a this point that I began calling the company as i felt i needed some answers. The lady who answered the phone made it pretty clear between her snarky comments and nervous chuckles that they weren't going to stand by their product. I was promised a call back from Tory as she wasn't available. A week went by with no call back so i called again and this time Tory answered the phone. At this point a replacement was out of the question i wanted a refund however Tory decided it was to much trouble to address my concerns considering they had already gotten my $200 and some dollars. In the end i will have to go to my credit card company and dispute this charge as we received terrible service through out the whole ordeal not to mention blamed for what was clearly a screw up on their end considering the packaging and shipping of crabs is their job. The moral of the story is i should have read their recent reviews which are nothing but negative and stayed far away from this cesspool of a "business". As an after thought my wife and i compiled all the voicemails, pictures of uneaten crabs sitting by the trash can, phone calls, etc. should this establishment seek to discredit our claims. its unfortunate that my first yelp review would have to be negative but when a company makes it clear they are a moral hazard i have no choice but to try and caution others so they don't experience the same thing as my family experienced.
I love Crab Depot there seafood is by far the best around I'm telling you this from experience and for me to you word of mouth trust and believe if you go there to get your seafood you will not be disappointed.Recommended dishesBeer Batter Shrimp, Crab Cakes
