We ordered take out, I went and picked it up. Ordering process is fluent on their online ordering website. Picking up is also good because there is good amount of street parking nearby. In terms of food, it's good, but not what I expected in the price range. Maybe my expectations are too high. I feel it's a bit lack of flavor. Seafood are fresh. Noodles are cooked just right.
This restaurant is very small and it's definitely for a small party, 1-2. As we were 6 people, we end up entering the store after waiting for one and half hours. The signature menus are black noodles, but we ate lobster pasta this time. It was really good but I will it was a little watery. Most menus are $5-10 higher than any general Italian restaurant. Fountain soda is damn small.
No 1 recommend :Spicy lobster pasta picture 1. It’s an interesting way to have pasta and the lobster is really juicy and fresh. You definitely don’t want to miss it ! No 2 recommend: roast shell with cheese picture 4. A little salty but I eat light so this might be too personal . However the texture is fantastic! Picture 2 can really make you feel full. If you are starving, this is gonna be your lifesaver Picture 3 Cesar salad. It’s so so, average level. The bread is a little too dry and the salad has too much cream. Conclusion: nice service and good food. Don’t miss it !
We first visited the location in North End but they were closed for renovation. Therefore, we came to this location. It was much easier to find parking around this area. The restaurant is very small, only has few tables. We had the black pasta aglio olio and fish n chips. The calamari black pasta is quite good. I had the best in Venice, Italy, and have been searching for a good one in the states but in vain. This one has the briny taste and pretty good. We were planning to come for second time before leaving Boston but unfortunately couldn't make it. We definitely will come again next time in Boston.
Known for their signature black pasta and amazing seafood, Daily Catch is one of the best places to get Italian-inspired seafood dishes in Boston. We initially wanted to try their original location in North End, but they were temporarily closed for remodeling. We decided to do a takeout instead at this Brookline branch, and got the lobster fra diavolo for two, fried calamari, and the agile olio black pasta. Everything was surprisingly as good as the hype. Seasoning for the calamari was perfect, and their signature black pasta was amazing. Aglio olio came with a heavy garlic flavor, but the chewy texture of the black pasta definitely made it better. Lobster fra diavolo came in a huge aluminum plate with good amounts of seafood. The condensed seafood flavor was nicely integrated into the sauce and the pasta, and I liked how they cut the lobster shells for convenience. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu and get the black pasta with other sauces.
Great Italian seafood that you won’t want to miss! Small but cozy place, had Mussels Siciliano for starters, Aglio olio black pasta half and Lobster Fra Diavolo for entree. The mussels are fresh and the seasoning is just right. Love the black pasta the most, great homemade ink linguine with perfect texture and flavor. The Fra Diavolo has a big portion so prepare to have some to-go lol
My partner and I ordered clam casinos, half portion of aglio Olio, and the monkfish Marsala with linguine. The food was ok - but expected more especially for this price tag. Nothing disappointed us, while nothing exciting. I don’t know where did the hype come from
Excellent Italian seafood pasta restaurant. You can't make a reservation so plan ahead to stand in line to get a table in this great restaurant. Service is slow but the food is great . Parking: Street metered paid parking
Food was freshly cooked and tasted great! Open viewing to the kitchen is pretty cool as you know your meal is cooked right before serving.Dine in: Yes
An excellent dinner. We had the lobster, squid in pasta, and Marsala monkfish. My favorite was the monkfish.Food: 5/5
