The Empress Seafood Restaurant

2018 update: This place has taken a dive which is really disappointing. My family frequented this business for twenty years and the last couple times we've been there, the food quality has been poor. It seems like they've started using frozen dim sum or something because something is just off about the way it tastes. Check out Star Kitchen instead. Previous review (5 stars): I've been coming to the Empress for dim sum for years, and they have yet to disappoint. Everything is always fresh, and the staff are always prompt and courteous.

The Empress is amazing! You get to try so many different dishes, and they're all delicious. The service is great, and the dim sum carts come around non-stop. Watch out for the pushy cart lady, she drives the hard upsell; you'll know who I'm talking about when you go. If you like a lively atmosphere to get together with friends for a fun and delicious experience, go to the Empress.

I think they have the best dim sum in town. The food is very good, and the service is fast. They also have a wide variety of exotic dishes that you normally wouldn't find elsewhere. The prices are also very reasonable. This is a traditional Chinese restaurant in the strictest sense.

Love the Singapore noodles, kinda yellow curry with zucchini. The drunken noodles version sweet sauce but very plain. My husband loves the sesame beef. Egg custard tartlets from the dim sum menu are a flaky filo, yum. They deliver, too.

We go for dim sum on the weekends. Very good quality and easier to get into then other places. Friendly staff. Food is sometimes cold.
