A very old well maintained area fairly accessible by public n private Transportation...visitation hrs are good..
Very peacefull place to think about philocophy of life and death. Love this topic of thinking makes me more concentrated on my life.
Very nice place my grandparents and parents are there. Professionalism from staff. However, they should honor Mother's Day,Father's Day by opening the grounds for visit. Google maps stated open when you arrive it is not. They have to fix that or they will lose customers.
My grandmother is buried there now with my grandfather and my Aunt Lorraine. I miss her so much and hope I will see my grandmother again when I go to heaven.
A very peaceful place. My maternal grandfather and my aunt mother’s sister are buried here. A lot of babies that died during the flu in the early 1900s are buried here as well as civi war veterans and veterans of all subsequent wars. An ancient peace lies over the whole cemetery as diverse as the city it serves.
I visited 15 years ago. My Great Grandfather, John Robert Maloney worked on Board the Queen Mary and sadly passed away on board whilst she was on her way to New York in 1952. He is buried at Evergreen cemetery. Beautiful place. Just wish I could visit more as I live in the UK.
Nice oasis off of the Jackie Robinson. Some famous burials. This hilly cemetery has some nice views of Manhattan. You may walk straight through from Bushwick Ave. to Cypress Ave. in Ridgewood for a pleasant stroll.
Staff needs to take better care of the Graves
