I saw Alec Benjamin here, and I definitely loved this venue! It could easily fit 3000 people, there were about 2000 the day I was there. Nice lighting effects and good speakers, I could here the audio all the way in the back. You have to get your hands marked with an X in permanent marker if you don’t want to drink alcohol, and it doesn’t come off for a few days. But this venue was amazing overall. The performer was also amazing and I loved the music! Would recommend.
Nice, intimate venue with "mosh pit" style viewing of the stage, as well as VIP seating scattered across the rear and side of venue. Bar staff at the bars yes, there are multiple are friendly and definitely do not skimp on the alcohol in the cocktails. Large bathrooms to accommodate guests. Limited menu is offered, but if you are general admission, you are eating standing up. Plenty of security to check you in and ID and wrist band you for alcoholic beverages.
Don’t email the venue if you have any questions, you won’t get a response. I called a few times during open hours as well, and nothing. Anyway - Clean VIP club area and bathroom, VIP staff is nice! Good experience. Lots of security inside and out, so it felt safe. They should definitely use some signs once you enter and stand in line, so many people were confused and had to wait for someone to guide everyone.
There are only a few reasons that I am giving this review four stars, and that's not to indicate that the Fillmore is a bad venue. However, when packing in this many people it can feel a bit crowded and potentially unsafe though it was not unsafe in any way that I experienced. It would have been an impossible quest to make one's way to the restrooms that were clearly marked on the other side of the completely filled open area. Security to get in was efficient and thorough. The atmosphere never got stuffy in any way during the recent Blue October concert despite the numbers of people packed in so the ventilation system is decent. The other loss of a star deciding factor was charging over $14 for a single cup of beer greed. Other than those minor gripes we had a great time and would gladly return for future concerts.
One of my absolute favorite venues! The only downside is too many people chat loudly during the shows and it's super disrespectful to the artists that are taking time to perform for us. Quite a few drunks, but thankfully it didn't ruin the show. Just distracting. LP was amazing! Thank you for hosting artists I love!!
I attended at the Trinity of Terror Tour, the venue is very nice, toilets were clean. Sadly, I got COVID at the concert, the air circulation is after a couple hours with hundreds of people very very bad.
I went to go see steel panther last night and I think the venue was pretty awesome. I did upgrade to the VIP section because I’m 66 years old and no longer feel like standing up for hours at a concert. I’ve Read some reviews that were less than stellar for this venue and I have to say I pretty much disagree. I’ve been going to concerts for decades and I’ve been too many so this is not my first rodeo. The only issue that I saw, was the pole obstructing a portion of the view.I didn’t think it was that big of a deal because if I wanted to I could just get up from my seat and walk to the end of the VIP section which was as close to the stage as the people that were in the non-VIP section standing up and then if I wanted to I could go right back to my seat. I have included a picture of the pole in question and that was taken from the far end of the VIP section, my seat was actually in between the two poles
i really enjoyed the music i endured here! however, the security is a joke. i will preface by saying that i work at an arena! i drove about 5 hours to see this band, bought fast passes and was very excited! was on the rail and had a great view of security's back! now i will admit i am 5’1 and pretty short, but seriously? i took this picture during the second openers performance, and it shows two security guards standing in front of the stage. they were very obviously flirting, giving guests horrible looks and knocking down things they were leaning on. after the band finished performing i flagged down said security guard and showed him the picture, stating that this was my entire view and asked if he could stand somewhere else for the third and final band— the headliner. you want to know this security guards response? he got in my face, i could smell alcohol on his breath : real embarrassing for this venue and told me that the men i paid to perform were paying HIM to stand there. the big man said so. those were his exact words. i looked at him and said seriously? you’re in the way. he said that he’s in a lot of peoples way. now— while working customer service, it is a given that the customer is always right. it can be frustrating on the workers part but it’s true. if i ask someone who works somewhere to scoot, maybe a foot or two, and they size me up and attempt to intimidate me? i would not have them on the job. this was october 19th, so if you are in charge over this dude, maybe let him go. drinking on the job is not cute and neither is flirting with other coworkers that are blatantly younger than you. thank you fillmore for providing an amazing venue and light show! however please look into your security. i read reviews on the drive over and many many others have had problems with your security as well. for others thinking of attending this venue, don’t. it’s not worth it, i promise. $10 for some water? yeah ill drink out of your bathroom sinks.
I enjoyed an Orville Peck concert. Drinks are high but that's to be expected. Standing room only at the stage. Saw a couple near fights because of people trying to move towards the stage. Clear bags only permitted and metal detectors used.
Great concert, really nice staff, that got you through efficiently and quickly. But once I side it's just an open space for concerts. Nothing special really.
