The Fly

This is a perfect place for when you don’t really know what you want. Food wise, the streamlined menu basically makes your decision for you - you just pick the nuance: whole chicken, half, or chicken sandwich. No matter what you choose, the chicken is tender and deeply flavorful. Sides include fries, roasted potatoes, salad, olives, fresh bread and green beans. Options, but not an overwhelming amount. They have a curated selection of wine, delicious cocktails and lots of spirits to choose from, as well as some zero-proof options for when you don’t feel like drinking alcohol. This spot is cozy and reliable.

Normally we take pictures when the food arrives but we just dove in and devoured it. Really simple menu that is small for a reason because everything they do they do right. Very thoughtful, above-and-beyond service.

“I desire the beans” - Bean Lady You might think you go to a chicken restaurant for the chicken, but really it’s for the beans. The green beans at The Fly are SOOO good, your friend will literally change her name to bean lady from the epiphany that these beans give on first bite. Jack and the giant have nothing on these magic beans The Junglebird cocktail is also amazing

We ordered most of the menu, including the chicken obviously. Excellent chicken, fries, and caesar salad. Green beans were great too! Got a bottle of natural wine and had a great time.

Best rotisserie chicken ever. And their fries. Decent natural wine list. Note, they only serve chicken and fries. Staffs are friendly. Plenty of outdoor tables. @foomi_travels_everywhere

The dirty martini was a hit, however the food was not good. The fries were too salty and the chicken could use some additional buffalo sauce or a bit of salt. You’d think with the long lines the food would be decent.

The Fly has a great selection of wine and incredible cocktails. They have a really lean menu which usually means great food, and they don’t disappoint. Everything is great quality and every now and then they have specials like onion rings or chicken wings. One critique would be that some dishes could use some salt but that may be my personal preference.

The chicken is juicy and delicious. Especially combined with the red sauce. Green beans are absolutely incredible as a side and fit so well with the chicken. Well done! Highly recommend if you want to eat some mouth watering chicken.

Service, atmosphere and drinks are excellent, food is only decent. The chicken concept would have been great three years ago, now it feels like yesterday's news. They could get a Bib Gourmand if they bumped up the food a little.

Great neighborhood vibes. The half chicken and caesar salad combo was perfect. White sauce is the play here. Classic cocktail menu is also why I love this place and will revisit often!
