The French Cheese Board

I recently hosted a cookbook launch party at the French Cheese Board. The venue was perfect. Having an onsite kitchen where the food could be prepared was great. The staff was super nice and accommodating. There's plenty of room for a small bar area, tables for seating, and room to mingle. Nice flattering and adjustable lighting. The party was a success. OK. Another amazing find in NYC. This business is underwritten by the marketing arm of the union of dairy farmers in France to promote French cheese. So on a regular basis shipments of cheese arrive fresh from France and are sold at ridiculously reasonable prices and the cheese is in really really good shape. It's not a huge variety, but whatever they have is delicious.

This is such a great spot ! Its amazing to learn about French cheese and butter In the neighborhood of Nolita. The place is always clean the staff is always amazing I have hosted a couple of events here and I always want to come back. Looking forward to hosting many events here

Cute little shop with a small selection of French cheeses, jams, jellies and honey. The service was very pleasant. Bought some cheese and they gave me a cute cooler bag to take it home in because it was very hot outside.

Love the cheese love the prices. This location is often closed between 2:30-3:30, I presume so the worker can go on break. Plan accordingly!

UPDATE: when i wrote the review a year ago, we were pretty much limited all over because of the pandemic. i'm sure things are going better now and we'll be stopping by to check it out again, next time we are in the area! thanks for adding your info below! The cupboards are practically bare. I can't imagine how they can stay open. A few paltry pre-packaged French cheeses, overpriced of course, and a few gourmet items. There are no tastings, no lessons. It's sad. They should order some fresh imported items from France and make a real effort. then people will be bound to return, again and again! They'll never stay open very long like this.

Great experience! All cheese selections we're excellent and went from "mild to wild"

We were happily surprised to stumble upon this place last weekend. They have authentic French cheeses and samples to try. The worker there was very knowledgeable about the cheeses and we ended up getting two types, one of which was what we sampled. It came in a cute insulated bag for the trip home. We loved both the cheeses at home that evening. Prices are pretty reasonable too I would say like what you would pay at Whole Foods. We will definitely check this out the next time we’re in SoHo.

I love cheese, French cheese especially, and couldn't resist stepping into this charming shop. The staff was welcoming and friendly. After tasting some delicious cheese samples, I found gifts I wasn't even looking for before, but were irresistable and bargain priced. I will definitely be returning!
