This little market is great. I stopped in a few weeks ago looking for Brotchen. Not only did she have the bread I was looking for, but there is a new owner as well. I have been back a few times. Stephanie made me some prepared Rouladen to take home and cook. It was the best I have had in a very long time. She has coffee, and gravy, and meats, breads, candy, all kinds of good stuff. Very nice....so glad I went back in looking for bread.
If I could give it negative stars I would. DO NOT go here. 1 the place is nasty looking and dirty with food sitting out on the counter there was a half eaten chocolate in a box on one counter, next to the owner's oxygen machine and various other open containers of food around the store. 2 The owner/operator is unscrupulous and rude beyond belief. I would not go back here for anything. I have never written an online review in my 40 years of life... this experience was SO BAD that I am writing my FIRST! The owner/ operator is one of the rudest individuals I have ever dealt with. I had never been here before today. I had a $50.00 gift certificate - from December - which he claims expired the week prior to my visit six months from the date of issue. Not living near the business I had not had a chance to visit yet. I made my selections, which included cut salami which cannot be resold once cut, and the total was slightly less than $50.00 including tax. I told the owner that wasn't a problem and that we could just call it "square" - I didn't mind if the transaction was a few dollars in his favor... When I presented the gift certificate he told me "this has expired." I asked when, to which he replied " just last week." I asked if it was possible that he could make an exception. He replied simply "no, I won't." I replied well, "have a nice day" and began walking out of the shop. He yelled behind me "and never come back here!" of course, I have no intention to come back - in fact, I wouldn't have spent $1.00 of my own money in the place given the lack of cleanliness and the owner's rudeness. If you don't want to do business with unscrupulous people avoid this one.
Steve is really nice and welcoming! Great selections of snacks, sauce packets, tea and meats! Way cheaper than World Market German stuff. I will definitely go back again! They are changing owners soon.
Haven't been to this store in over year, ownership change took place. Stephanie is very nice and prides herself in providing excellent customer service. Love that they have Döner every Saturday, hope to make it one day as I would love nothing more than a good fresh Döner. Thank you Stephanie for keeping the little store open, the only place for authentic german goods besides the little bit one can find at world market...god only knows how old their stuff is...
*** Please Note *** New Ownership and Management! Stephanie prides herself in Quality and Customer Service, and it shows when visiting. 5 Stars!!
The only place in the entire state I have found so far actually run by a man who knows Germany and is in fact married to a German. This is just like a Metzgerei in Germany and my only source for my Schwartzwalderschinken - real Black Forest Ham, not that watery crap we sell in the US.
Great place! Nice selection. Steffi is super friendly and so knowledgeable!
Excellent customer service I was very happy visiting will definitely be back Danke für alles
Fantastic meats fresh and made locally. Highly reccomend!
This is an excellent store with a variety of European cuisine.
