The Goddard School

We enrolled our son at Goddard in Avon when he was 14 months old. We moved to the area from another state where daycares were closed due to the pandemic. Prior to that our son loved his daycare and we were sad when it closed. We picked Goddard because we heard good things about it in general. Our son was enrolled for about 4 months before we pulled him out. There are many positives about this daycare, Goddard in general, which I’m sure you will read in other reviews. The facility is clean, organized, safe, and the owner, Robert, is very professional. Unfortunately, the place lacked passion. There was a lot of staff turn over in our sons classroom. We had some issues that really centered around our son biting, but we learned it was more about how Goddard handled it that lead to issues. They treated his biting as a pathological issue and not as a developmentally appropriate issue. We were given the option to stay, but my husband and I decided to pull our son out. They begged us not to put him in another daycare because they didn’t think it would help. We ended up sending our son to another daycare and I am so glad we did. He is doing amazing. He rarely ever bites and when he does the staff seems to understand that toddlers have big feelings and show him love and support as well as make sure everyone involved is safe and well. Our son says he is “happy” when he comes home from daycare. He is doing everything a child his age should be doing! I’m not a child developmental specialist, but I am disappointed that Goddard treated our son like he was had a developmental disorder because he was “misbehaving” in a way that is totally developmental appropriate way for his age. I hope that in the future there is more support and understanding there for all types of child, because they all have their own personalities and grow at their own pace.

The Goddard School is 100% dedicated to the child!! The staff is professional, approachable, addresses the child directly, listens to concerns, ensures a safe learning environment, and provides a creative exciting learning environment. I am thankful my little girl attended the Goddard School for two years prior to starting Kindergarten as this will definitely give her a solid start with initial learning/skill sets. The graduation ceremony was absolutely breath-taking and all happy! I commend the entire staff at Goddard for sincerely caring and attending to each child's individual physical and emotional well-being. Well done!!! My daughter already misses her teachers and other staff members even including the kitchen crew. Again, a tremendous thank you to the entire staff at the Goddard School.

The Goddard School in Avon has exceeded our expectations in every way and we feel fortunate that our son and daughter were able to begin their "formal education" here. Being first time parents comes with a lot of worry and fear but we knew that selecting The Goddard School would help ease some of that. We wanted a safe, educational place for our children to grow and develop. The environment is energetic, fun and nurturing and each teacher ensures that our children are made to feel special. The teachers are great role models and truly display a passion for teaching. The owner and directors are very present and enthusiastic leaders. It is obvious their priority is providing the best educational childcare for our children. Everyone, all teachers, the cook, directors, owner all have a genuine concern about the well-being of our children and that means the world to us. We truly feel that they are an extension of or family and we know while they are at school that they are happy, safe and well cared for!

My daughters, ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 have attended The Goddard School in Avon since they were 8 weeks old. They enjoy going to school and have learned so much in their time there...they are certainly ahead of the curve! Not only are they learning and growing, they are having a blast while doing so...they love singing songs, playing dress up and doing art. I couldn't be happier with the head start my children are getting by attending The Goddard School. Also, the teachers have been great with my girls and the office staff are very helpful and involved.

The Goddard School of Avon, IN is one of a kind! Robert and his team are so passionate and nurturing when it comes to the kids they care for. There is no better feeling than safety and security when choosing where/who will care for your child when you require assistance. Our Goddard experience we have has been absolutely AMAZING and we feel so good about taking our daughter there. Now that we are moving from Avon, we will definitely miss that. The Goddard School has been such a blessing for our family!!

For the last six years, we have enrolled our children in the Goddard School - Avon. Over the years, we have watched our children grow and flourish under Goddard's daily care. With our first child, we had no idea how to begin potty training. The staff at Goddard walked us through the process and helped us every step of the way, even giving us "homework" to do on the weekends. And it worked wonderfully! When our son began kindergarten, we were nervous about the transition because he was the youngest in his class. We were worried he would not be prepared for the work. But the teachers at Goddard prepared him so well that he actually moved into the most advanced reading and math groups shortly after starting kindergarten. He is now in second grade and continues to be one of the best students in his class. Our second child had a food allergy that developed later in his second year. The Goddard staff worked with us to address the allergy and take precautions to make sure that our son was accommodated during meal and snack times. Just as with our first son, we can already see so much progress with our second son's learning. The curriculum at Goddard is second to none. We now are moving away and have struggled to find a daycare center that has made us feel as secure and our children as cared for as Robert and his staff have at Goddard. If you are looking for a childcare facility near Avon, I cannot recommend the Goddard School enough! Robert and his staff have made us feel at home there, and we will miss them dearly when we go!

Our son attended The Goddard School in Avon from the time he was 2 years old up until he went to kindergarten. I cannot say enough about how much he learned while attending. He was very prepared and well ahead of a lot of the kids in his kindergarten class. He was also diagnosed with Type I Diabetes during his time at Goddard and everyone went above and beyond to see that he was taken care of and making sure their staff as trained to take care of him. We always had peace of mind that he was being taken care of. Thank you so much to everyone at The Goddard School of Avon!!!

The teachers and staff have made us feel comfortable since the moment we walked in the door with just an inquiry. Our daughter had a tough transition, but everyone did everything possible to make it easier for her and my husband and I. Now that she enjoys going to school, if ever we have questions or concerns they are addressed immediately. And the only concern we’ve ever had is around our daughters eating. And that’s through no fault of the school. She’s picky. The school is also incredibly clean. Our daughter has only been sick 1 time since she’s started attending Goddard in Avon she’s been there for about 7-8 months. I’ve had my other kids in other daycare facilities and they were always sick with a cold or runny nose or something worse. Our daughter is thriving in that environment! Thank you!!
