The Golden Fleece Tavern

My favorite bar in Dover! They recently expanded so crowding isn't a problem anymore and now the women have more than one bathroom. They also added an arcade game room where I plan on spending much time.

It's kinda small but it has a dance floor and good music.. bouncers to keep problems down!

The golden fleece is a small tavern with a large variety of both locals and the people who are here for business, military life, and college to relax and have a good time after a hard week. There is always a live DJ, a dance floor, and most of security know who the regulars are and have a sixth sense about when someone is about to get themselves into trouble and quickly de-escalate the situation. Only dress code that I know of is guys must where sleeves. Awesome place to wind down after a hard day's work and meet new people.

Went in about 15 minutes after opening. The bar tender didn't even acknowledge I was there, as apparently he was too busy setting up. I was eventually acknowledged by another person with a single word as if surprised to see me (I've never been there before). I said hi back and then after she stared at me like I was an alien, I said I was thinking. She went off to another room and I walked out. Not the most inviting atmosphere I've experienced. Might give it another try sometime.

Social spot. Better in the warmer months. Crowded when its cold. Barely enough room to walk
