The Grand America Hotel

Very nice of course. They give a reduced parking rate for hotel guests. The front desk was very nice and gave us ideas of things to do during our stay. We were offered an upgrade to an executive suite for just 10 dollars. The room had a view to the east and it was beautiful. Everything in the room was comfortable, and beautiful. The hotel is right next to a tracking station so it's very easy to get places. The only reason this wasn't a five star review is we felt more should have been included for how expensive the hotel is. Also the timing was bad for our stay because there was a wedding in the courtyard. The noise from the wedding ruined the experience for that night.

I attended a technical conference here two times, but have never stayed here. This is a beautiful hotel, one of the nicest venues I've ever seen. Marble, crystal chandeliers, and fresh flowers are everywhere. The hotel seems far more appropriate for a fancy wedding then a conference but surprisingly it should work for either. The lounge (The Gibson Girl) was a little small (but cozy) and seemed almost hidden tucked through a small door down a hallway several turns from the lobby.

You get what you pay for and at Grand America you get a lot! Service is awesome. Everyone is a trained pro. Courtyard is so nice (especially in the spring). Great event spaces. Their style is a little grandiose, but it's nice.

Although I have never stayed here, I went to go visit the life size gingerbread house there in December. It is super cool and a great experience for all ages. Little kids will love seeing this awesome creation. Something interesting is that they give you facts about the makings of the house, and there are also mini candy canes they give out. Overall, great experience for some fun

I've attended NGConf, multiple work parties and eaten lunch at the Grand America. Each time I had a great experience! The bathrooms are spotless, the catering great, and there are lots of rooms of various sizes and each can be transformed to match your theme. Definitely among the best places to attend an event. The service was great, too! Whenever I found myself looking for something, someone appeared to show me where it was.
