Very funky vibes. Heads up, kitchen closed limited hot food items available and the cocktail menu is out dated. So disregard what's posted here. They have a really sharp team though, so just let them know what you like and we were well pleased with a Strawberry something and a perfect old fashioned.
This place is beautiful and has so many different aspect to it. Go see Ghost Ship bar! If you come to a restaurant/bar/establishment for Wi-Fi, reevaluate your life, especially if you’re leaving crybaby reviews because you want a business to act like a library .
Good atmosphere, the place is good, great music, I liked everything except the bearded guy with tattoos who serves the bar, from the beginning he ignored me and my friends, when he wanted to take our order he was mad because we didn't leave him the tip from the start so he proceeded to continue ignoring us, I think the tip is for the excellent service that someone provides, not because I have to do it by force
Cool place! We just had drinks in the bar. Can't get into the restaurant without a reservation. I will definitely be back with a reservation!
I really wanted to give a five star here. If you want a pirate feel to your night, they got a beautiful interior and atmosphere that matches. Even their "Grand" area has a unique atmosphere that is great! Now I can't say much on food, as we only went to the pirate area Grand is only area with actual meal?. The drinks were poured by a VERY heavy hand. You'll get your liquor worth for the high price of drink. Overall the novelty of the area was great. As a regular weekend thing, not so much mainly due to price but still a fun night.
Stopped in for cocktails. Service was friendly and prompt. Outdoor patio was nice to enjoy the evening There’s construction so it was sort of a pain to find/get into the parking lot. But that’s not their fault.
*Review of the Ghost Ship* Last night my friends and I visited the Ghost ship for the first time as a birthday celebration. we happened to have 5 of us celebrating birthdays together. We first showed up as a group of four meeting a group of 6 and I could tell they were stressed about seating uslargest table inside seats 6. We had thought it would be more of a mingling environment but it seemed they really preferred us in one spot. We had a couple others join and the host really wanted to have us sit at the large table outside but the decorations don't really branch out to the outside area so we really wanted to stay in. That's when the bartender suggested the upstairs which was really cool and much easier for us all to sit near one another. Thank you guys for accommodating us and our shenanigans :D The drinks appear expensive but are VERY strong, so rest assured you are getting your moneys worth. The rum drinks were definitely the strongest, and if you prefer something lighter I would lean toward the banana based ones, or the coconut drink, they really aren't overpoweringly sweet. All the drinks balance the flavors quite nicely. Notable comment from the bartender after a friend mentioned the drink strength "Well it's a pirate bar" haha. There are a few food options, but we ate before knowing that it would be more appetizer focused. We tried the board and the stuffed figs, the board had a great spread but the stuffed figs were TO DIE FOR. I highly suggest at least trying the figs if you make your way there. This is definitely an experience I would recommend, the staff was cool, the atmosphere carefully catered to create an interesting and stimulating environment. I also appreciated that the music was at a good volume so that it filled the space but it was still easy to conversate as well. Definitely scope out the art if you stop by!
What used to be the best spot in Phoenix for a cocktail or coffee is now just a little different. The ambiance remains and an eclectic ambiance it is but gone is the coffee and the beyond 2 a.m. hours. The small-bites menu is small but of excellent quality and the bartenders are great, though the drinks have a dirty water taste to them, perhaps the ice maker needs cleaning or the water filters need a change. This place has always had an identity crisis which is part of the charm, but I suppose they are now trying for a more club-like atmosphere in the main room, and the outdoor stage looks neglected where it would otherwise be the perfect spot for nightly live music. I'm sure this post-covid Grand was thought out from a business standpoint a ton of detail has gone into the pirate bar, and it's not terrible, I just see it as a step backward from what it used to be.
The vibe was super cool at Ghost Ship. You pay $20.00 per person before you walk in and get two gold coins in exchange to use for drinks. I was not impressed with their selection and quality of cocktails. The drinks were very syrupy, and the one with banana tastes like soap. They really need to work on this. When paying between $14.00 and $18.00 per drink, I expect handcrafted cocktails with fun and creative presentations. The drinks really had no wow factor. Hopefully, as time goes on, it gets better.
The place was quiet we got there about 7:30 and 8:00 and staff quickly attended to our request for drinks. About 9:30 - 10:30 the place was jam packed. From my understanding there's three different bars in this facility. The upstairs bar, the line was wrapped around the building. Really did enjoy myself.
