The Green Beetle

My family and I had dinner here tonight and I must say that I wasn't ready for what was in store to say the least. One: it was a large group of us, eleven to be exact. Two: the food was amazing, everyone enjoyed their meals. Three: I didn't want to dine out but I took one for the team and they did not disappoint at all, nice portions, reasonable prices, and flavorful food. Great place to chill with a group or cozy up on a date! Thanks Green Beetle, we had a lovely time!

I really love to support local businesses. This restaurant was so quaint and the food was good. I had the catfish dinner dish, and we ate the chicken tots for the appetizer, really good!! Our server was so sweet too, I don't recall her name but she had long dread type braids with pink tips. :Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No

Great food! Small seating area available outside in front of the restaurant. Good sized portions and wide menu options. Friendly, but polite wait staff. Recommend this place!

I went to tried The Green Beetle on Monday October 3rd, 2022. I had this place on my list of restaurants that I wanted to tried in the Memphis area, and it did not disappoint. When my friend and I got there around 2:30 the place was pretty much empty which was good for the both of us. Immediately our waitress greeted us at the door and quickly took our orders. It didn't take long for our orders to come out. I decided to try the Bandito Burger that have Gouda cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. Somehow all the flavors just mash perfectly together; nothing felt out of place. The fries I have was pretty good, but maybe needed a little bit more seasoning. Overall a place I definitely recommends trying out.

It is beyond dangerous that I live within 5 miles of this place. I came here to celebrate my friends birthday a couple weeks ago and we couldn’t have had a better time or better food anywhere else in the city. The service was quick and very very hospitable. I don’t remember our servers name, unfortunately, but he was very funny and welcoming. THE. FOOD. THOUGH!!!! We got the Cajun chicken tater tots as an appetizer and i didn’t want to order a burger after trying them because I just wanted about 76 more orders of the tots!! The cheese was soooo good and my husband is snobby about melted cheese and he had no complaints lol!, the chicken was divine, the tater tots brought tears to my eyes. After much deliberation, I didn’t end up ordering more of them as my meal, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I got the green beetle burger without mustard with tots, my husband got the bacon cheddar burger with fries, my friend got a quesadilla, and her husband got the pimento cheese burger. The burger was absolutely cooked in heaven…sooo melty can meat be melty? Here it can!, well seasoned, the cheese was perfect, and all the fixings worked amazingly. Now the time for the age old question: fries or tots???? I was very on the fence with indecision because they both looked sooo good, but after the appetizer I KNEW I had to get the tots. My husband got the fries. Both were amazing!!!!, but I *slightly* preferred the tots sorry, fries, you were beautiful too. Oh, and for my ranch family, the ranch was also good!! Everyone loved their dishes very, very much! I was able to get a picture of those marvelous Cajun chicken tater tots, but that was before I ate them. Once I ate them, I was in sort of a trance until my burger got there and didn’t take a picture because I no longer had the control to take one before I ate, knowing now what the food was going to taste like. So I just included a bonus picture of the stained glass window inside. I know, I apologize. Just go eat there. You’re welcome. Love The Green Beetle’s casual, welcoming atmosphere and good service. Seat yourself but with table service. Great bar food includes the Big Willy, one of the best chicken sandwiches in the city, tossed in honey gold sauce and topped with pimento cheese on a sweet bun. Pair it with the Philly cheese fries for a meal fit for two. They offer frozen drinks one of the only places off Beale, but I do wish they’d add more alcohol. The bushwhacker with floater is good, though! Be sure to check their daily lunch specials online, including catfish Fridays.

This was my first time going to Green Beetle bar. We ordered the catfish dinner, the catfish was delicious. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. The service was wonderful, we were greedy with a "Hello" when we first came in the door. The service were very polite and willing to explain the menu and drinks. We will be back and I highly recommend green beetle to everyone. We loved it!!

Hamburger was decent but the bun was too sweet... Updated:. Went for food and drinks. Got the Cajun chicken tater tots. They weren't bad but the look of them was not appealing. Drinks were decent. Service was great. Overall I had a good time.

Man best catfish ever! Buffalo Mac n cheese was absolutely awesome as well! Kids menu was large and great waitress and staff!Food: 5/5
