The Ground Floor

Everyone at The Ground Floor provided us with incredible service and tasty food. CJ specifically went above and beyond PLUS he made the best dirty chai with oatmilk I've ever had The seasonal flight was fantastic, with the lumberjack being my favorite. If you stop in, you won't be disappointed.

My favorite place in Martinsville! Whenever I meet up with someone, whether it’s catching up with a friend or meeting with a client, I always recommend that we go to the Ground Floor. It’s consistently clean, has excellent customer service, and the coffee is top notch. Their food is delicious. They continue to find new ways to improve themselves and are always growing and coming up with unique ideas.

What's there not to love. Friendly staff, pragmatic business model with healthy food and thoughtful drinks. The rice bowl with double veg is undoubtedly The most healthy and delicious food item available for vegetarians in a 45 minute raduis of Martinsville. A must for anyone from or visiting the area. Vegetarian options: Ahead of the game for this carnivorous nook of the US.

This place is so clean and so beautiful. Sister had coffee frappe and i have a funky monkey smoothie. Both were excellent!!Food: 5/5

Next level avocado toast. I was initially disappointed, expecting the full hot/cold lunch menu because I failed to realize that it was only Mon.-Fri. but weekend brunch options did not disappoint!Food: 5/5

I have been here numerous occasions, and haven't been disappointed throughout any of my visits. The coffees are wonderful, their pastries are delicious, and the ambiance is very clean, comfortable, and the seating is accommodating if you come to work, share a quiet space, or sit openly. They also have different things to buy, leatherworks, jams, and local honey. Stop in if you have the chance!

This was way nicer than I expected when I walked in! Spacious, super clean, and tons of seating-including an upstairs seating area. Baristas we’re friendly and my oat-milk latte was delicious. Much better experience than any chain coffee shop. Love the decor too!

I highly recommend this place. Great coffee and great food. I frequent when I’m in town and need to get some work done. I love the atmosphere and is always a table with an outlet available.Food: 5/5

*Update: This is now a restaurant, not just a coffee shop, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with cocktails! This recent addition to Martinsville Uptown is located within the historic Holt building, which hosted a fine women's dress shop in the 20th century, and is full of lovely architectural details. It's a great spot for a quick grab and go, order ahead on their app for takeout, or stay and sit for hours. Our favorites here are the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Latte offered year-round. The creative seasonal flavors they offer rotating throughout the year are what keeps things fresh and fun at this shop, like the Honey Latte with lavender and honey, Campfire Latte with a bite of black pepper, and the Aztec Mocha Latte spicy, chocolatey, and delicious.

Really nice place! Good food and drinks, could use more seating, but overall I will definitely come back again!Food: 5/5
