Solid gym. Great customer service, easy day pass system, and reliable equipment. If you like smaller gyms this is the one for you. They have everything you need is a small space. Also, bathroom/locker is awesome. Plenty of mirrors and they even have feminine hygiene products for free. If you're visiting the River Oak/Montrose area, make the easy choice and head to The GYM.
Absolutely love this gym! Really clean, the machines are modern and up to date. No issues in finishing my workout on time. The owner created such a lovely community, it’s like my own little workout sanctuary.
Amazing, friendly and professional. They know how to incorporate my injury into exercise rehab. Their precise nutrition program is also sustainable. Great community for someone looking for a long term lifestyle change!
In town for work, the owners allowed us to stop by and take a look to see what we thought. We asked about day passes and they were no problem. They charge $15 per person, well worth it. The gym has every piece of equipment you need regardless of your program, and the owners had great conversation. Very accommodating and the atmosphere and others working out were awesome. I’ll come here every time I visit Houston.
Came here for a couple of sessions while on holidays. I loved it honestly. May be little, but it has all you need and a lot of personality and good vibes. The gym equipment is not the newest but everything is super well maintained, clean and well placed around the gym floor. I loved the owner who made me feel immediately welcome. I liked thw crowd too, all the people I saw were training hard and didn't look line they went on a fashion show like it happens on most of the highest gyms. Honestly I still love places like these, iron and sweat, good people and great attitude. Last but not least, it feels good to support local business rather then bigger franchises.
I just got a 6 month membership here. It is a small place, but they have great equipment. They have a deadlift platform, heavy chains, plate loaded ISO row, single leg leg press, and a weight sled. Their dumbbells go up to 150 I think. It is a great spot to lift. Also Wes, the owner is a great guy. He is smart and friendly and always helpful with lifting tips and nutrition advice. I strongly recommend checking this place out.
I’m in the area maybe 6 times a month and I just love coming to this gym when I’m back. It’s a part of my back-in-the-H routine. I always feel good working out here. Love getting my grocery shopping done at the Kroger next door right after my workout. Just makes my day that much more efficient.
