I could never go to any other salon than the hair room after my experience. I love that they do free consultations to discuss further details of what your looking for. I had requested an appointment with Jenna to do a hair transformation. Consultation was quick and Jenna totally understood the assignment. During the hair service she took her time and worked her magic. The vibe and aesthetics of this place is just amazing, It was like walking into the 90’s. My hair came out so amazing and it’s exactly what I had asked for!! Jenna did such an amazing job and I couldn’t be any happier!!! 10/10 thank you again for making my dream hair a reality <3 Did I forget to mention that they’re pet friendly !? Can this place get any cooler??!

I’ve been going to the hair room for 2 years and have always loved it. The atmosphere is incredibly fun and welcoming to all. I saw Pamela this week for an all over color to bring me darker for the fall. Pamela was incredibly thorough, we reviewed swatches together and looked at photos; she was committed to giving me exactly what I envisioned. She also paid close attention to my facial features and did a great job complimenting them with my hair cut. My hair looks amazing and I’ve been receiving non stop compliments since. I loved my time getting to hang out with Pamela while she made me look my absolute best. Do yourself a favor and go to the hair room for all of your cut and color needs!

I was really excited to try this place since my hair colorist moved out of the country. I came in for COLOR CORRECTION. My hair is short and dark, but I’ve gone full platinum in one sitting with an experienced colorist. And that’s when my hair was past my shoulder. I went for a consultation at first, to make sure the process was feasible. I understand my hair is dark and some hair colorist are not comfortable with the process. But when I went for my consultation, the hair colorist said it was feasible, that my hair is strong enough. I always valued their opinion since they are the experts. Bleaching can do a lot of damage and it’s always good to be on the safe side. In this case, I booked my appointment. It took 6 hours and $600 later, I ended up with banding and blotchy toning. As you can see on the photos below. I was just happy that I got out of there with my hair fully intact. I’m not the type to cause a scene or disrespect anyone, hence why I’m just now speaking about this. Money was not an issue, but you have to be able to deliver. This was really disappointing. She was nice enough to ask me to come back, so she can tone the hair again. But I just decided not to take her up on it.

This place is so amazing! The service is the best from the whole staff, and Jacob is an incredible stylist! Not only is he incredible at his craft, he has the sweetest personality making you feel at home when you're in his chair. My all time favorite hair salon in Jersey City! I come here exclusively now for everything. This is the only place I found where I can show pictures and explain what I want and the stylists listen! They also have the friendliest staff and an amazing atmosphere. Shout out to Shannon especially who rocked my world when she told me I had wavy hair and took the time to teach me how to style it. The best of the best!

I absolutely love The Hair Room ! I’ve been here now on two separate occasions, both hair appointments with Amanda, and I’ve loved my hair equally after both cuts. She leaves it full of life and love and I mean what more can you ask for? As for the entire staff, everyone I’ve encountered are so sweet and welcoming. The space itself is ample, clean, bright, and fun. I can’t wait to come back in a few months for my next cut.

I started seeing Pamela about 3 years ago when I decided to start coloring my hair for pretty much the first time. I wanted to go with bold/pastels and have since been purple, pink, blue, green, and now red. Pamela always helps me figure out the vision, is down to try something new, and gives me realistic expectations about what to expect. I have curly coarse hair and she’s been very protective of my hair health while I try to grow it out. I always leave feeling so happy with my hair. The salon has a fun vibe, with friendly and welcoming staff, and I recommend it to everyone!
