I enjoy coming to this Home Depot in Kearns. Always have the part or tool that I need. Staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable on where to find what I am looking for. Generally not too busy during the noon hours, busier in the evening when everyone is off work. Parking is a little tight but I usually park near the back to avoid getting my SUV dinged by another vehicle.
I've never had a bad experience here. In fact, in particular, my time with both the flooring and door replacement teams was so exceptional that I doubt I'll ever go anywhere else. Great selections, fairly competitive prices, good quality. No complaints at all, stand-out place.
This is where my paycheck comes to die! They are very helpful at this location. I have had wonderful customer service. I have gone in with questions several times and they have helped my find good tools, supplies, and solutions. They have even sent me elsewhere when they knew a better part was at another store. This is always my first call and stop when I have a project!
I always go to their competition - because it's more conveniently located. But I'm always getting a nightmare experience. Today out of frustration at Lowe's of waiting forever to get help, finally getting it and it being absolutely useless... I took a drive to this Home Depot. Immediately after walking in I get a friendly smile from the and asked for help. Walked out happily and confident in my product. To my discovery the store manager was the one who helped. Thank you Mike!
Minimal help was available in the door area and I waited over half an hour. The store associate warned me that the product I was going to take was damaged and to take one behind it but I forgot and brought home a damaged door frame which I only needed part of and still used it but spent $52. Maybe because he knew it was damaged he should have removed it off the floor. I normally get pretty decent service at Home Depot locations and this is only a review of this particular visit.
There are crooks in tool rental. I rented a paint sprayer for 2 hrs. The agreed price was $94.97 and that included damage protection. I brought it back with no damage at all and was cleaned up exactly how they said to do it and they charged me $449.75. Before I left I told them that was the wrong amount and they told me no the total amount was just $94.97. That was a lie and my credit card showed they charged $449.75 so I called them and they said to cover their mistake I need to drive back there and get paid back in cash. This is a 30 min drive and gas is not cheap. I told them I could come down now and they made me wait 1hr and 30 mins to give me my money back. If I didn’t check my credit card I would not have gotten paid back. They didn’t do anything for me to make it right other than making me drive back to get the money back they STOLE from me and making me wait to get it back. IF YOU RENT ANYTHING WATCH YOUR CHARGES THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THEY DONT CARE AT ALL ABOUT IT!!!!!
There tool rental is a joke they don’t reserve large equipment so when you call it is there but then you rush over to get it and they had just rented it to somebody else. Then you give them your phone number to call you when it’s back they call you saying it’s there and it turns out it was a different piece of equipment. Which makes it hard to rent tools from them and count on them having what you want.
Normally, my husband and I love Home Depot. We choose to shop here over Lowes. Customer service is usually outstanding. Not so much at this location. We moved here from TX a couple of months ago. The customer service in this store has come up short every time. We've kept going back because everyone has a bad day, and we realize businesses are short-handed in these times. But our visit on March 15th around 7pm took the cake. It was NOT busy; there were only a few customers. I asked for help 2x. I stood in the power tool section, waiting for the "only employee" that I was told could help me, but she was making keys for other people. A few feet away there were 4 cashiers standing around, laughing and having a good time with each other but not helping anyone. I waited almost 15 minutes just standing there. When the employee finally got to me, she was very short and rude, like it was a bother to help me. She helped me quickly, handed me what I asked for, didn't answer any questions, and was gone. I needed more help and found her a few mins later, just standing chatting with the other 3 or 4 employees. When I asked her for help again, she again very rudely helped me as quickly as she could and seemed bothered that I was even asking questions. I was spending approx. $300. You'd think 5 mins wouldn't be such a bother? They obviously were not short-handed, after seeing everyone standing around for about 30 mins. Maybe they need some training in other areas of the store? At the very least, they need some customer service training. See pic of 3 of them just standing around, chatting and laughing. It was like this for 30 mins, however most the time it was right in the aisle in front of the cash registers. I have never had such aweful service at a Home Depot. We spend thousands there annually. I definitely would not recommend this location.
I prefer Home Depot over the other big chain store as I can usually find and get what I went there for. Also the people in the plumbing and appliances departments are knowledgeable and helpful.
Was on that side of town for another reason and stopped by to grab a few things, not my home store at all. Place was clean and well stocked. Wish I could remember the ladies name at the help desk to give her credit: she was beyond polite, professional, and helpful.
