The Home Depot

This is the best Home Depot I have ever been in. I live out of state but come here periodically to pick up supplies when visiting and assisting my parents. Everyone in the store is always so helpful and knowledgeable. Recently, I was there and assisted by Katie. She went above and beyond to help us find what we needed. Such a refreshing experience in this day and age.

The worst experience of any Home Depot store I've visited. I needed a key made and waited 15 mins even after the nice PRO checkout associate called for assistance 3 times. Only to be told they couldn't make the key and it wasn't in stock. Staffing and customer awareness definitely needs improvement.

No sense of urgency here from any of their employees. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come unlock a tool for me and then had to go ask for help AGAIN when no one showed up. Took another 15 minutes before anyone came over to help and they had no sense of urgency whatsoever. Horrible customer service - I highly recommend finding another Home Depot or Lowe’s. Very obvious that the management and higher ups at this store have done a horrible job creating a healthy, enthusiastic, hustling work environment. Maybe screen your employees a little better.

I needed a trencher one weekday and called first for assistance. The gentleman that answered was impatient and rude. I attributed it to my ignorance on the process, but when I went to pick it up, he was still rude and impatient. Everyone one has a bad day, but even my contractor was put off by his behavior. The only reason I'm assigning 3 stars or any stars, is because the gentleman who received the equipment was a stark contrast to the earlier gentleman. He was kind with excellent customer service. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman who received the equipment. He's a keeper! Thank you.

Store is pleasure to patronize. Clean, organized, great staff, management seems to be on site often. It shows. I do not often review “ big box” stores. Hard to do so in an overall fair way. But this HD stands out. Good job; thanks and enjoy patronizing the location. Special shout out to Outdoor and Garden dept. great team; alway clean and organized A loyal customer.

I went here to rent a chainsaw. When I brought it home it was already dull. It wouldn't cut more than an inch into a 4 inch branch. I wasn't able to bring it back for another because I was without a car for the afternoon. When I dropped it back off and told the clerk he said it was a brand new chain. It definitely was not... I asked for a refund and he repeated it was a brand new chain and I had to pay almost $50 for a broken chainsaw. If it was a new chain it must have been the cheapest chain they could find. It seemed like Wish quality for how bad it was.

Bought over $7,000 in appliances and had a delivery set up. Delivery showed without the GE dishwasher, but deliverer said it was coming on another truck. That turned out not to be true…when the other truck failed to show, we called and was told that our dishwasher was never received in the warehouse from GE. We scheduled another delivery for Nov 21. We were advised that delivery would occur between 7:30 - 11:30 on Nov 21. On morning of the 21st, not having received a confirmation or tracking link, we called for that information at 8:00 AM. We were told that we were the 2nd stop for the morning. By 12:00 PM, still not having received the dishwasher, we again called and we’re told that it, again, did not make it to the warehouse. Again, Home Depot was not truthful. As of 12:45 on Nov 21, Home Depot has not resolved the issue.

Do not make purchases from Home Depot. I called twice to file a complaint about the service I received and the damage that their delivery team did and both times the rep hung up on me. Now I’ll chargeback my purchase since they did not deliver all of my appliances and need to cover the damage to my cabinets. Pure sloppiness by Home Depot.

The Wendover location is really the only home improvement store in the Plaza-Midwood area so be prepared to drive a bit if you want a better selection of goods elsewhere. This store just seems unorganized and lacking. Although the associates have always been polite, many seem too interested in their cell phones to try to assist. Other HD stores in the area don't seem to have these issues from what I have encountered. How things are organized in this store just seem a bit off. The app is hit or miss. A simple search too often brings up things not related to the actual items I'm searching for and the option to narrow down the search is quite lacking. I wish things were different at this location but my experiences have rarely been anything other than chaotic.

Had everything that I needed for my project here. Was a little more expensive then Lowes for what I needed but they had it in stock. Less staff around to help then Lowes on the floor but lines went quick and easy to find things.
