Our wedding was at the Fairmount Horticultural Center in October. The day was absolutely magical! Every single detail came together in a way that absolutely exceeded every expectation that I ever had for my wedding! It was just perfect in every way. My family and friends couldn’t get over the space and how different it was from your typical wedding. I need to say that Gail helped us navigate moving our wedding due to Covid and answered every frantic email I had to finalizing the details. For the day of Adam Fisher was the MVP he was incredibly helpful and since I didn’t have a coordination stepped up on a huge way for us. I will forever be great full for the hard work and attention to detail for the whole team there! They made my day perfect and I didn’t worry about a single thing! Thank you from my husband myself and my whole family for an experience of a lifetime!
Beautiful place to come to, especially in the spring when cherry blossoms are in bloom. Located close to Shofuso Japanese house, the park has several places to walk around, click photos, beautiful flowers and plants and the place is always active with something or the other like dance, performances and so on. Though in the middle of Philadelphia, it gives no hint of the bustling city outside.
Oh, oh, wow! Is all I can say! Came here for a movement and meditation class and left here feeling zen! BEAUTIFUL PLACE to have any type of function you'd like. -taking personal photos -weddings -work / business parties -gala's etc...
I went to Fairmount Park to see the Edible Landscape Demonstration Garden specifically. I took my bike to explore but this Park is so huge that it will take many hours to see what all is offered here. My next step is to obtain a Park map to help me make sense of it all.
Beautiful plants. Greenery and scenery. Good for those with green thumbs.
I visited at 12:56 pm today Thursday 01.27.2023. The center was closed. Per schedule on the door is should be open until 2 pm. This center used to be a lovely place, open until 3 pm including Sundays. And the hours on the website is open till 3 pm. It looks like that the center not for the public but for a paying event customers.
This is one of the best spots in spring to enjoy cherry trees in bloom. There are hundreds of pink and white cherry trees on the path from the Hort Center to Shofuso House. Pre-COVID, the center for years was the site of a major cherry blossom festival. Now, it's a great spot to enjoy Parks on Tap, or to to do a yoga class. There are sculptures and sensory gardens around the center. You can also find free parking if you're lucky. I'ts only a 10 minute walk from here to the Pavillion in the Tress sculpture.
Had such a great experience at the pop up beer garden horticulture center in Fairmont. Perfect place to have a great time while social distancing! Great place to bring kids as well! Follow me @sebbybelly on Instagram.
I was there for the cheery blossom festival and it was a pleasant experience. There was ample parking for a small fee adjacent the park. For bathrooms, the park had adequate supply of mobile toilets for those who could use them. Overall, a great experience! The performances were my favorite part of the experience.
Nice place to see. But it does not have much inside. I went twice. Once during during an event and once during regular hours. As an event space it is really nice. Not much to see if you came only for the plants/flowers since it is a very small place.
