The Howard House

We were fortunate enough to find this gem for our summer retreat. The owners of the Howard House were very accommodating and professional. The location was quite impressive, tucked away on a charmingly historic Kirkwood road. The atmosphere was warm and exquisitely inviting. We highly recommend this home for any event large or small.

This magical home in cute Kirkwood was a fantastic hosting place for the bridal party during our wedding week! We were able to have a bachelorette evening and multiple small gatherings throughout the week with our families/friends/wedding party, and a wonderful rehearsal dinner party in this fabulous home, making our wedding week joyful and intimate with all of those we love We can’t thank The Howard House team enough for making our week absolutely perfect, with every detail completely attended to with speed and kindness. Truly the best hospitality! They are thoughtful and thorough, and did everything they could to make our wedding week so organized, special and memorable! We hope to come back for many anniversary parties

We hosted our firm's holiday party at the Howard House est. 80 people and everything went perfectly. Katie was awesome to work with and handled all of the details. The house has been thoughtfully renovated and is a treasure for guests to enjoy. The owner is very lax on outside catering and can help arrange food and service staff, if needed. This would be a great place for relatives to stay for a wedding or a wedding venue as well as the backyard is set up for larger events. You won't be disappointed if you book here!

The Howard House is magical. I heard over and over how wonderful the house was after spending the weekend there with my bridal party and hosting our rehearsal lunch there. Andre was great to communicate with and very generous with his time; in letting us tour the house, troubleshoot the logistics of the food truck, setup and party rentals. He truly enriched our experience and it was obvious he takes pride in the beautiful home. The house was incredibly comfortable. It is beautifully furnished with antique furniture but the house boasts all the modern comforts with soft sheets, plenty of towels, great AC, WiFi, and plenty of hot water for a house full of showers. Many guest commented on how comfortable the pull out beds were and there was plenty of space for the 13 adults we housed for the weekend. The house really made our wedding weekend and became a charming place for people to meet and mingle. The front porch with overhead fans fast became our favorite spot but the large property and pecan grove is incredible. The Howard House is a rare gem and a great space for any event. I’m so glad we had the opportunity to spend time there and hope our paths cross again.

I chose The Howard House as a wedding venue after several months of research. A lot of the details of my wedding were very unconventional, so I was especially happy to find a venue with multiple spaces available, with a lot of flexibility in how to use those spaces. The house is very malleable, in that you can really create your own vision, rather than the space always looking the same. I was also very appreciative of the flexibility to choose my own vendors, rather than being limited to a certain few. The Howard House is an incredible value, particularly for the price point. I rented the house for the weekend, in order to have multiple events. We used all the bedrooms for accommodations, which was super convenient for out-of-town guests. We could have easily spent a lot more and gotten a lot less. In the planning process, Andre and Jake were wonderful resources, always patient and supportive. Of course, they had many ideas about how to use the property, which were invaluable to my final decisions. They always supported my choices; I never felt pressured to do things a certain way. Over the weekend, everyone was enchanted at the beauty of both the house and the grounds. Many of the guests said my wedding was the best they'd ever attended. Andre and Jake are thorough, knowledgeable, hardworking—in all, delightful to work with, at a venue that is quite special. I felt truly valued and saw that they did everything possible to ensure that everything was amazing. Highly, highly recommended!

The Howard House was a dream venue for our wedding in April. We loved having a central location for the weekend though I'm sure it could be utilized just for the ceremony/reception as we shared an entire weekend with family and friends. The beauty of this venue is that you can make it exactly what you want using your own food vendors/alcohol/entertainment/etc though Andre and Jake were there to provide excellent recommendations on everything. The house is well-equipped and well-maintained to host a wedding from small to large in size as the outside space in the front and the back is gorgeous. Andre and Jake took excellent care of us leading up to the wedding ensuring that all questions were answered, and our weekend was seamless due to the two of them. I'm thankful for the weekend of memories and predict that the Howard House will be the most popular wedding venue in Atlanta in years to come.

Stayed at the Howard house for the weekend and loved it! The house has an old timely feel with updated appliances and awesome kitchen. The seating areas throughout are beautiful and each room has its own unique feel. Had such a great time, it was so relaxing. Definitely recommend it!

Wow! So much to say about this amazing venue but we will keep it brief. For starters, Andre and Katie are JEWELS! From our first meeting until the very end, they were hands on and available. They were so warm and patient as we planned our Mid Week Wedding! They were able to even gauge the suns position at the time of our ceremony for perfect planning. This venue is such a charmer! It’s beautiful just as it is and needs minimal decorations to add. Our guest truly enjoyed the amenities of the home before the ceremony began and after. I can’t wait to host another great event at this venue! It’s beyond worth it and the customer service is impeccable!

This is a good venue for gatherings of 20-30 people if you're mainly going to be inside. We had a party for Christmas so it was too cold to be outside. The house has a great authentic classic look inside and out and is very clean. Not sure there were enough bathrooms. It felt like there was a line for most of the night.

The Howard House might be the best-kept secret in Atlanta for now - but not for long! Andre and Katie were ideal hosts for our summer leadership retreat. The home, grounds, and surrounding neighborhood provided the perfect setting, and the location is convenient for everyone. Our staff has added the Howard House to their shortlist for personal events. We can't wait to come back!
