The Idle is a downtown Indianapolis urban green space that reconnects four adjoining neighborhoods; Holy Rosary, Fountain Square, Bates-Hendricks and Fletcher Place, once divided by the Interstate.
The Idle, which will be located along the Cultural Trail between the Interstate bridges, will provide the passerby an opportunity to idle, escape or gather with others. Furthermore, it will provide a much needed public green space within the urban fabric of the City to sit an ponder, stare off into the sky or connect with nature or each other.
Reconnect neighborhoods and people through a common urban green space.
