Really liked the spa, ambiance and decor. The decor is beautiful. We were three friends that went. I really liked my massage but my two friends were not happy. One of them said, it seemed her therapist had no clue what she was doing. She would do one side and forget the other side. So she was very disappointed with her service. I loved my therapist Brandon though. Loved the decor and all the staff was really really nice. They have a hamam room, dry sauna and steam sauna also. They also added 20 % gratuity which was never ever mentioned when I made phone reservations or via email confirmation or even when we checked in. Overall a good experience but I guess it depends on what massage therapist you get. Both my friends were disappointed.
Total luxury! Had a prenatal massage with Colleen and facial with Selena and both were amazing. We also had lunch at the terrace pool. The amenities are wonderful!
My facial was absolutely amazing! The Spa was very clean, and the energy was great! My only negative comment is the hot tub. The girls that occupied it were not loud - but their voices carried so it didn't have the same vibe. Basically, I thought someone from the staff should have asked them to lower their tone.
Had tacos here twice and although they were OK tasting they were now served hot.... I thought the first time it was because we got a seat 20min before they closed. But the next day we came back and got a table right when they opened. Still cold tacos.... The chese burger was excellent! Great service! You would think at a higher end resort the quick service restaurant on property would be better.
Hands down the best spa I’ve ever been to. Went for a bachelorette party for the day, the hotel itself is so beautiful the grounds are amazing then the spa is like you’re in another world, with all Moroccan themed decor it was the most relaxing and tint experience. We got there early and sat at a cabana by the pool and had great service from our waiter that served food and drinks right to the pool. I tried 3 different mixed drinks and they were all amazing, the berry froze was so delicious and nice to drink in the pool which was perfectly heated, not cold not too hot, with beautiful views of the mountains in the back. My 50 minute classic massage was also an amazing experience I added the hot stones to it which was definitely worth it. Get there early to enjoy all their amenities like the hot tub steam room sauna cold shower and more.
Paid $60 for a deluxe pedicure in the salon and then had the rest of the day to experience everything in the Montelucia Joya Spa. It was really nice. You escape the bright, scorching July sun and enter this dim, cool, inviting environment that makes you think of Morocco and good intentions. I took advantage of the hot tub, the cold shower, the fruit infused water, the lounge room, the quiet mineral room, the small crowded rooftop pool with the view of Camelback Mountain, and the restaurant. For vegetarians, there's a yummy mushroom burger and fried sweet potatoes. At the end of the day, I showered under fresh eucalyptus and gave back my shoes and robe. If I had to think of something not great about the place, I did find it annoying to have to navigate the rooms with so little signage and staff help. I also didn't like having to keep up with a credit card in order to pay for food everyone's robes look the same on the loungers. Overall, this was a great experience. I recommend.
This is by far the best spa I have ever been to. The location is perfect and peaceful, the spa is beautiful and the energy is always positive. Once you purchase a service, you can experience many other amenities which are worth every penny! Once you go, you will want to stay all day. I highly recommend this place!
Absolutely marvelous spa - my favorite in Scottsdale. Lots of different treatments available, very comfortable setting and excellent customer service.
What a treat! This place is beautiful and so relaxing. Had both a massage and a facial and both were great. Finished up with lunch and cocktails by the pool. The view is gorgeous and the Froze is delicious. Will definitely be back.
Overall it was good because no one was really here during this time and I had a relaxing time, but some things I noticed that were disturbing staying at a 5 star resort. The jacuzzi was really moldy in the corners and the railing. Same with the showers. The maintenance could be better. My massage was great, although my therapist was listening to music or a podcast in one AirPod and I could just hear whatever she was listening to during most of the massage. Sometimes she would pause and stop and that seemed like she was texting or changing her music. Other than that she was good, just wish she was 100% focused on what she was there for.
