Heirloom is a terrific restaurant with some great food. The restaurant is a good size and the enclosed porch is delightful since the tables are well spaced out so the experience is comfortable since you feel far away enough from fellow diners. Service is discreet and personable and the beverage service was great. We had a great wine that complemented our dinner quite well. The raw oysters were great but not local from the Northeast, the remainder of our dinner was delicious especially the fried whole snapper. Amazing! Definitely recommend this restaurant for their seafood.
I love this place. Came for date night and had such a good time my lady left her credit card. Food was amazing, wine was even better. Came back a week later to pick up her credit card and stayed for happy hour. Specials were great. We even brought the dog and sat outside on the deck since it was such a beautiful day. They accommodated and brought us a dog bowl for water. He was a happy puppy.
We had a wonderful evening here with a very large group of friends. Michael, our waiter, was very attentive, explained all the specials and entrees to pleasing detail and allowed us to enjoy our meal without constant interruption. The Chef sent out a wonderful starter with roasted tomatoes and cheese in an Asian style spoon. The appetizers were delicious including wedge salad, oysters Rockefeller, and She Crab soup at our end of the table. The entrees included Yellow Fin Tuna cooked to perfection, Butterfly Shrimp coated in a light batter and absolutely perfectly cooked. My wife had the burger and has decided it was the best she has ever eaten. We had to skip desert. Portions were plentiful. We don't live in the Virginia Beach area but will be back again on our next visit.
This place is extraordinary! Every time I come here it's an incredible experience. Chef Brent kills it in the kitchen with his fellow chefs slinging out amazing farm/sea to table dishes. You have to come here! The fried snapper is to die for. The pan seared duck I still have dreams about. And the deserts are creative and refreshing. This by far is one of my favorite restaurants ever!! Keep up the good work Brent. You know I'll be back ASAP!!
We had such an amazing experience. The food the atmosphere and the service were all beyond excellent! Cameron was an absolute treasure to have taking care of us. He made the special sound so amazing that we ended up getting 3 starters along with our 2 main courses, lol! We seriously cannot wait to come back. 100/10, 5 stars, round of applause for our new favorite spot!
My wife and I have come here a few times for date night and it’s always been exceptional. Parking is adequate, food is excellent, service is great. Highly recommend! Their cocktails are always great and their happy hour is hard to beat as well.
Parking lot so no issues with parking for us. We made a reservation beforehand but it wasn't too busy for a Friday night. We had a server and someone else who was coming to help fill up water and clear plates but there was some slight miscommunication where they brought out an extra glass of wine when we asked a question about it. We also ordered the Tea & Sympathy cocktail which was very tasty! They had a great wine list. For our appetizers, we orders the Fried Green Tomatoes, Oysters Rockefeller and the Heirlooms "Butterflied" Shrimp. All of it was delicious. The Shrimp was so crispy and had a great flavor in it. Loved the green tomatoes but the peppadew it came with and the whipped boursin cheese were amazing. The Oyster Rockefellers were also quite good! We did order the she crab soup as well. The soup had too much sherry in it and was quite overpowering. For dinner, we ordered the Whole Yellowtail Snapper, the soft shell crab special and the Maple Leaf Farm Pressed Duck Breast. The star of the show was definitely the Snapper. Beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. The sauce was a tad sweet but overall, my favorite. The duck was good and well cooked but the kale was a little salty. The soft shell crab was well breaded and the salad it came with was a nice balance. They did bring out a May's Parlor Lemon Lavender Cheesecake for my birthday which was also very good. Great Lavender flavor and incorporation and the cheesecake was nice and soft as well. We had some trouble finding our server in the end and it took some time to get the check. Overall, great food and would definitely recommend coming back. Love the ambiance and the decor as well.
Amazing! The drinks were great, the food was divine, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Morgan was our server and she was fantastic. We ordered the crab nachos on happy hour, the fried chicken as recommended by our server, the pork belly and she crab soup. It was all outstanding. Brought a s’mores tart home for dessert. Also outstanding! We will be back.
The food was delicious, but our first experience here was take out and it left my family and I very disappointed. We were excited to try this place after reading about how good the food and portion sizes were. We knew beforehand of the fine dining prices and were so ready to try the highly raved about food. My mom and I had a craving for she crab soup and oysters, so we placed 3 orders of the she crab to bring home and share and 6 count oysters Rockefeller. The amount of soup that they gave us was not worth the price. They're charging 11 dollars for less than 2/3 of a cup of soup!! We poured it into a measuring cup! We were just very disappointed after hearing all the positive reviews about the food and portion sizes. If I knew ahead of time what I would be getting, I would have never ordered from here. Definitely a waste of hard earned money when it didn't even make a dent in our appetites.
My wife & I chose to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary at Heirloom’s with our son this evening & we’re delighted that we did! Booked our 39th anniversary Friday & was lucky that they still had 2 time slots available for our Sat reservation. We arrived ~ 15 minutes before our 5:15 table reservation and we were promptly seated by our waitress, Zoie. We browsed the dinner & happy hour menus and placed our orders starting out with she crab soup for my son & crab nachos for the table while we contemplated our main courses. Zoie soon arrived with our beverages & appetizers & we placed our orders. My wife chose the crab cakes, my son chose the fried chicken first time anyone in my family ever ordered fried chicken from a high end restaurant! I ordered an Heirloom side salad & my personal favorite, a NY strip steak which I only get ~ 1x every 3-4 months. I won’t begin to describe how our entrees were cooked or what accompanied each of our entrees but the meal presentations were perfect & the taste was even better, what a pleasant surprise to eat at a “new restaurant” new for us that we all loved! Closed out the meal with a cheese cake for my son & brûlée for Susan. The meal was exquisite & we’ll all be back. I’ll let you know in my next visit how the snapper is as I already know what I’m getting on our next visit
