The Merry Kitchen

Over the years pre-Covid, during, and post-Covid my daughter has taken several classes at the Merry Kitchen and every time she comes back happy and saying great things. So we decided to schedule a class for us parents for our anniversary. We had Julie come over and do a complete surf n' turf dinner with roasted potatoes, grilled veggies, and lace cookies. I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed our class and our meal later... It was to die for! We are now considering having Julie come to do a class for our family to get our son more cooking exposure before college. We highly recommend the Merry Kitchen!!

My kids have been taking lessons from Julie for years and love it. One thing they do every year with her is make their own custom birthday cake. Julie makes cooking something ALL kids enjoy. If you send your kids to a cooking camp or host a birthday party with Merry Kitchen you will not be disappointed.

My daughter had her 8th birthday party at The Merry Kitchen and she had a great time celebrating with her friends. She said, " I liked making chocolate chip cookies and cooking on the stove." She enjoyed making home-made Canadian bacon pizza and pizza sauce. Julie, the owner, does a great job teaching and showing the children how to cook from scratch and making the experience of cooking fun and enjoyable.

Had a small birthday celebration with The Merry Kitchen and had such a fun experience! Beforehand, shes super open about what we actually wanted to make we picked enchiladas and cupcakes. Merry also takes COVID and state/city regulations very seriously by requiring masks and social distancing the best we can. The end result was fantastic and we got to take the recipes home to make again! If you’re looking for a fun-filled, COVID safe, birthday party/class, The Merry Kitchen is the way to go!

This class was EXCELLENT for our 11 year old Girl Scout troop. They did the grilling and made grilled chicken with homemade barbecue sauce, grilled pizza with homemade red sauce, veggie kabobs and corn on the Cobb. The kids chopped all the ingredients. It was well organized and flowed very well. She even had a compost bin for scraps! We will be back for sure!

I have 3 sons and they have been attending in person and online cooking classes here for over 8 years. They love it because she is friendly, has clear instructions, and makes the meal they are cooking fun for the age group attending.

My kids have done several cooking classes and they love every single one. Small groups and great recipes. Highly recommend!

Such a good experience for my granddaughter. Julie has so much patience. She gives age appropriate directions and is watchful over the children to ensure safety. We enjoyed it very much and will be back! Thank you Julie!!
