Got the Grilled Cheese kit and Odds & Ends 8/1/20. Gouda, Swiss and Colby, Beckmann’s sourdough, a cube of unsalted butter, fig spread and tomato soup=awesome. Then a pint of fantastic hummus. a bag of pita bread, Good Earth mini chocolate chip cookies, and orzo. There was a long line queueing up for the pick up, but moved along.
Best selection of cheeses in the area! So sad that they'll be closing soon, but I'm thankful for all the years they've been there for me. The croissants are a favorite in my home.
Just picked up this great gift basket! Glad to see a small/family business adapting, doing well, and helping others via their "Pay-It-Forward" program.
Yesterday I got one big, super ripe and yummy pineapple for $2.99 better priced than Safeway and much tastier, very tasty and ripe mangoes and a pound of bananas for free with yelp coupon. The construction forces you to park across the street but there's plenty of parking there. Beware though, there's no pedestrian crossing sign.
organic food, very reasonable price. love local ice cream here, a lot of flavor to choose!
Trying hard to support this produce store that stubbornly clenches on the edge of a giant new shopping development. Best price in town for Semifreddi baguettes and cinnamon loaf. In that regard, other places are pale in comparison to the Milk Pail. Has a bargain shelf for mature produce. Huge cheese selection is a good reason to stop here, especially after their return from a food fair when there are very special cheese offerings. One rare time they even had Mont D'or cheese from France. A smattering of wines, imported food items, and frozen homemade croissants that thaw, cook at home, rising in time for tomorrow's breakfast. Occasional good deals on produce. Organic section is minimal. Parking can be a beast to enter and exit.
Best and the only one place with fresh fruits and vegetables and CHEAP prices.
Wow Turkish Delights. I am going there only for those. They are yummy and very fresh.
Good market. You can find vegetables here and a lot russian food.
Pros: a great selection of European deli items like cheeses, antipasto, fresh pasta. Their frozen croissants are amazing! Staff are lovely and the place has a real community vibe. It's nice supporting a small business. Cons: their fresh fruit and vegetables have gone down in quality and up in price. There are always flies hanging around which makes me wary to buy stock because I don't want to be bringing fly eggs home with me. But I guess you can't avoid that when a place is an open-air market? Not sure. The place is also starting to feel very dirty. Maybe because they are closing down in June they aren't worrying too much about cleanliness any more. Nevertheless, I will be sad to see them go.
