At the THE MILL, we believe that better days begin with BETTER COFFEE.

We believe that a local coffee shop can help to build a stronger sense of COMMUNITY.

THE MILL is an independent new coffee shop located in the heart of Long Island City, one of New York’s most rapidly evolving neighborhoods.

Our mission is simple: to offer excellent coffee in a stylish atmosphere that reflects our community’s growing demand for quality.

THE MILL provides its well-traveled corner of Long Island City with something it had been lacking—a casual gathering place where people who live, work, and play in the area can stop and mingle, kick back, recharge, converse, see familiar faces, or meet new friends in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. And it starts with providing the best-quality coffee.


That’s why:

• we designed and built a stylish, one-of-a-kind shop that honors the positive energy and creative spirit of our neighborhood. Tradition, industry, commerce, and culture merge in a custom interior that is artful, original, beautifully illuminated, and, always, meticulously clean. The look is timeless—and so is the playlist, with deep cuts from our clientele’s favorite vintage LPs emanating from the turntable.

• we created a menu that satisfies the community’s craving for freshness. Our pastries, baked goods, and café sandwiches are prepared locally, and delivered to the shop daily. And every coffee we serve is brewed to order from our custom blends.

• we hire baristas who are as committed to creating a welcoming neighborhood sanctuary as they are to preparing and serving superior coffee.

• and we are here for you, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
