The Move Makers understand that moving can be an overwhelming and stressful project, but we believe it is also an opportunity to organize and take stock of your belongings and make choices about what is truly important to you.

We can help! The Move Makers provide expert help with the necessary parts of moving, such as planning, scheduling and coordinating all of the details. We also provide hands-on help with deciding what you will take with you, where it will fit in your new home or office, and what to do with everything you decide to leave behind.

Our goal is to assist you with getting moved and settled into your new home or office and back to living, working and enjoying life to the fullest, as quickly as possible and with the least amount of stress. From start to finish, the Move Makers met every need. Patient, thorough, organized and experience are just the words I would use for this team. Moving my Mom was going to be a very difficult task. Working with the Move Makers to get it done was one of my all time best choices! The value for the dollar is second to none, just like the way they treated my Mother! I moved recently and decided to find someone to organize and pack for me. I moved from an efficiency at Calaroga Terrace assisted living floor to a one bedroom unit at Irvington Village and was very apprehensive because I have mobility problems and cognitive struggles d/t a degenerative neurological disorder. The Move Makers not only did the job rapidly and efficiently, but provided information and encouragement every step of the way. I also decided to have them come to my new place to unpack and organize. The end result is fantastic. One day after moving in I had a home, and I couldn’t be happier. Rachel and Paige were friendly and tactful, and I never felt any impatience or judgement from them even though I was not able to help them with the actual work. I could not recommend this company more highly or enthusiastically. Priceless!
It may be unusual to have an employee leave a review, but I truly respect the work ethic and integrity of not only The Move Makers owner Carolyn, but of all of my fellow employees. We called on Move Makers for help when it came time for my mom to move out of her home of 50 years. Our move coordinator was absolutely the perfect person to come help us! I was overwhelmed with where to begin, but she helped us sort through everything so much faster than I thought possible. She was very thorough and learned quickly what we wanted to keep and what to donate or sell, and she did an excellent job spotting valuable things and bringing them to our attention. Once everything was sorted, she took care of coordinating everything else. I appreciated all her follow through with the Oregon Historical Society and the clear out crew. I really couldn't have been happier with the service we received.
I tend to be an accumulator; I have a lot of stuff I wish I could force myself to get rid of. And I DID get rid of a significant amount, but there is still far too much. I was apprehensive as to how some of that could be efficiently moved. Not to worry! The staff at The Move Makers apparently deal with that on a routine basis, as they knew precisely how to pack everything up in the most efficient manner. I honestly am convinced that my two moves would have been totally impossible without the expertise and the will to work that was so abundantly apparent. The move co-ordinator knew exactly how to proceed, and each member of the crew was so cordial and helpful at all stages of the move.
I was in a near panic when I called Carolyn at The Move Makers. We had two weeks to get packed and get out before the housed closed. 7000 sq ft and an indoor pool house is a lot of packing and boxing, but The Move Makers were The Miracle Makers. We made the deadlines and were days ahead of the new owners. Paivi then led the effort to unpack my pile of boxes in my new digs in the Pearl. I don't know how she and Paivi did it, but they caedm through in the clutch, and even got my three adult children onboard to sort through a mountain of personal items without any serious battles. If you've got a big house to move, there's no one better than The Move Makers!
Carolyn and her team deliver an extraordinary level of service consistently. I was particularly impressed with how well she handled the delicate emotional nature of moving out of our family home of 20 years. If you have a seemingly impossible project, she'll make it make sense seemingly effortlessly.
I just took the "Get Organized" class and had no idea organizing major projects could be broken down into tiny, manageable tasks.
